Let’s be honest about exams for a second..

As a student who is curious about cramming or writing in their own words in the exam hall...LISTEN AND SHARE AFTER READING

The REAL answer (based on how most lecturers mark) is this 👇
📌 If your answer doesn’t contain their keywords, you can lose marks,even if you’re correct.

Yes… it’s painful, but it’s FACT.

📌 Many lecturers actually set and mark directly from their lecture notes/handouts
So if your answer looks “different,” it might not score well.

📌 Some lecturers don’t read everything fully… they scan for points/keywords
No key points = low marks.

📌 In some courses, especially professional ones,

definitions must be close to what you were taught or you’ll miss marks.

BUT ALSO… 👇

📌 If you cram word for word and forget small, you can blank out completely.
📌 If you don’t understand, tricky questions will finish you.

So, the smart students do this ✅

👉 Drop the correct keywords (as taught)
👉 Explain it briefly in their own words
👉 Add examples where possible

That combo = 💯

At the end of the day, Nigerian exams are not just about intelligence…
they’re about strategy.
Understand it, but package it the way your lecturer wants to see it.
