COPIED FROM THE WALL OF OUR EX-STUDENT Chukwuebuka Okonkwo

When covering a wedding (or any event), the primary assignment is simple: tell their story. That’s why you were hired.

Trends are not the problem. The problem is when trends replace the couple’s story instead of serving it. Generic content may go viral, but it is often short-lived. A well-told story, on the other hand, lasts.

Good wedding content is not anti-trend; it is anti-replacement. Trends should decorate the story, not define it.

A story is what gives content longevity. Reach fades, but relevance remains. Years from now, what will matter are the real moments—the pauses, the laughter, the inside jokes, the people who truly mattered—not just what was trending at the time.

How do you tell the right story?
Simple. Talk to the couple off-camera. Listen to their friends. Observe their dynamics. Do your research. Yes, wedding photographers and videographers do research.

Tell their story well, and you give your client content that doesn’t expire.

Let me reintroduce myself 🥰

I’m Sheraah Shayet Namiji—a marine engineer turned nurse, now a proud practicing nurse with the Kaduna State Government, and a sickle cell warrior. 💛

In 2018, I started the SHERAAH SHAYET NAMIJI FOUNDATION, officially registered in 2025, a platform dedicated to supporting SICKLE CELL WARRIORS and empowering NURSES.

Through our foundation, we carry out community outreaches, free genotype testing ,supply essential drugs, hospital and home visits, and provide skill acquisition opportunities to help sickle cell warriors grow and thrive.

We have also hosted events for graduating nurses in their campuses where speakers from different fields are brought in to educate and enlighten these nurses on Finance, relationship, Academic excellence and their walk with God.

I’m also the Co-founder of KADUNA LADIES CONFERENCE which kick started in (2022), a safe space where young ladies come together to pray, discuss life, relationships, marriage, God, and finances.

Beyond healthcare and advocacy, I’m an author of an unpublished book I wrote at 18 titled LIFESTYLE OF A GODLY TEENAGE GIRL.

I'm a lifelong learner with certifications from MUSIC BUSINESS AFRICA, JOBBERMAN SKILLS, and TWINCO STAR COMPUTER CENTER.

I love upgrading myself, learning new things, and helping others start their own foundations.

Along the way, I’ve been honored with awards like BEST BEHAVED FEMALE STUDENT and recognition as a BEST JET CLUB MEMBER in secondary school, but my true joy comes from impacting lives, empowering others, and creating hope.

I believe in purpose, passion, and progress, and I’m here to share, inspire, and uplift anyone who joins this journey.

Let’s connect, grow, and make a difference together!
