The Frustration of a Phone with Low Internet Network 🤦🏾‍♂️📶
Having a phone with low internet network is a full-time job. First of all, you don’t use your room normally like other human beings. You must discover the corner. Yes, that one special corner where network lives. Once you find it, that corner becomes your bedroom, sitting room, office, and shrine. If you mistakenly move one leg, boom! Network disappears like it never existed.
You’ll be standing there like a statue, hand raised, neck bent, phone up in the air. Anybody entering the room will think you’re being arrested by invisible police. And don’t let rain fall—network will just pack its load and travel.
The worst part is that internet has its own timetable. You can’t use it anytime you like. You have to wait until the network is “less crowded,” like it’s a public bus. So from 10pm to 12am, that’s when your phone suddenly becomes smart. That’s when you start replying messages from 8 hours ago.
Your friend will text you:
“Hey, what’s up?”
You see the message immediately, but replying it? Ah. That’s another struggle. You type “Hi” and it will be loading like it’s writing a novel. By the time the message finally sends, you’ll see: Last seen 2 hours ago. The person has slept, dreamt, and woken up, while your “Hi” is still on a journey.
Sometimes you’ll receive “Are you there?”
You want to reply “Yes,” but network says, “No, you are not.”
Next thing you see: This message was not sent. Retry.
Retry ke? You’ve been retrying since last night!
Low network will humble you. It will teach you patience, discipline, and night browsing. It will turn you into a night watchman of your own phone. At this point, you’re not even asking for fast internet—just internet that won’t embarrass you in front of your friends 😭📱

One day, I woke up very early with big motivation. I told myself, “Today I will change my life.”
I bathed, dressed well, even practiced confidence in the mirror. I was ready to conquer the world.
Then hunger entered the chat.
I opened my pocket… ₦200 was looking at me like, “Bro, relax.”
That was when I remembered: motivation without money is just imagination.
I said no problem. I’ll still hustle. I stepped outside feeling like a billionaire in spirit.
On the road, I saw people rushing to work. I joined them, not knowing where I was going, but moving fast so nobody would ask questions.
By afternoon, my stomach started singing gospel songs.
I sat down and started thinking about life. That’s when it hit me:
Everybody wants success, but nobody wants to start from zero.
I went home tired, hungry, but wiser. I realized something important —
Even small steps matter. Even if all you did today was survive, you still won.
So if today all you achieved was waking up, eating once, and laughing at nonsense on your phone, don’t worry.
Tomorrow, you’ll do better.
Because life is like charging phone with NEPA light —
When it finally comes, you must use it well 😭😂
Moral:
Don’t give up. Your breakthrough is coming. Just make sure you’re awake when opportunity finally brings fuel ⛽🤣

Have you noticed these changes in kids of nowadays?
These small children now can operate phone pass adult. One boy of 4 years will collect phone and say, “Uncle, your data is on.” 😳

When I was their age, phone was not my problem. My own problem was two money and one money.

If you give me one big note and two small notes, I will choose two money with confidence.

I will be smiling like I made the best business decision of my life 😂
Later they will tell me the two money is ₦100 and the one money is ₦500. That was how tears entered my eyes officially.

Now let’s not even talk about night time.
Kids of nowadays will be watching horror film on phone at night with headset.
Me that time?

Passing through trees at night was a life-threatening mission. 🌳😩

Every shadow was a spirit.
Every wind was a ghost calling my name.
Even my own shadow will be following me and I will be running from it.

I will be praying, sweating, and promising God things I never fulfilled 🤣
Children now are bold, smart, and digital.
We that time were innocent, scared, and very confused.

No phone, no confidence, just fear, two money, and prayer 😭😂
