*The Stand and Progress of the Union on the issue of Police Harassing Students unlawfully*

It was brought to the notice of the Union that some students were harassed by the Police Force unlawfully. The video of the scene was sent viral and the Union and Student populace made the particular video get to Instablog so it can get to the right sources.

It has been a reoccurring issue where the Police Force around the student environment harass them unlawfully and make their way out even at that. The Union continued in the struggle and made sure that the video gets to the Commissioner of Police and which has been done. The Legal Director of the Union as well proceeded in getting the Lagos State University Students’ Union Lawyer to take up this issue till it gets to its very root.

The Commissioner of Police has the video and hereby promise to give legal directive and punishment to the particular Police Division that got involved in harassing the students. We want to ensure the students that the Union will always fight for their best interest and this will never go without appropriate actions from the Police Force, Union and the lawyer.
