π¨ 2026 JAMB ADMISSION ALERT: DONβT LET AN OLD CAPS ADMISSION AFFECT YOUR NEW ONE!
If you previously received an admission offer through JAMB CAPS between 2020 and 2025 but never completed the admission process, it is important to check your CAPS profile before proceeding with your 2026 admission plans.
An old admission record that is still active or unresolved may create issues when you are trying to secure a new admission. This is why candidates should take the time to review their previous admission status and resolve any outstanding record where necessary.
β οΈ WHY YOU SHOULD CHECK YOUR CAPS
1οΈβ£ Your previous admission may still be showing
Even if you did not resume at the school that offered you admission, the record may still appear on your JAMB profile.
2οΈβ£ It could create an admission-status conflict
Having an unresolved admission record may affect how your current admission information is processed.
3οΈβ£ Your 2026 admission process could experience delays
If there is an issue with your previous admission record, you may need to resolve it before your new admission can proceed smoothly.
4οΈβ£ Donβt wait until you receive a new admission
It is better to check your CAPS early rather than discovering a problem when you are already trying to accept a fresh admission.
β
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
1. Sign in to your JAMB CAPS profile through the official JAMB platform.
2. Check your Admission Status and review any previous admission record.
3. If you have an old admission you no longer want, follow the official JAMB procedure for resolving it.
4. Confirm that your CAPS information has been properly updated.
5. If you encounter an issue you cannot resolve yourself, seek assistance before continuing with your 2026 admission process.
π IMPORTANT
If you have ever received a JAMB admission offer in a previous session and did not take it up, check your CAPS now.
Donβt assume that an old admission record is irrelevant just because you did not attend the school.
