NAYEA Debunks Allegations Of Unpaid Stipends As Officers Appeal To Governor Sule For Intervention

The Nasarawa State Youth Empowerment Agency (NAYEA) has denied claims that some of its officers are owed stipends ranging from five months to over a year.
Concerned NAYES officers had written an open letter to Governor Abdullahi Sule, claiming they had not received stipends for five to six months, while others were owed for over a year.
They appealed to Governor Sule to intervene, stressing that they had endured serious hardship due to the non-payment of their stipends, which was recently reviewed from ₦10,000 to ₦30,000.
Responding, the General Manager, Abdullahi Bala, denied the allegations of unpaid stipends in a telephone call.
According to him, the agency is up-to-date in paying stipends to its over 4,000 legally engaged staff.
Bala reiterated the agency's commitment to its core mandate and advised any officer owed stipends to report the matter to their commandant for appropriate action.
He also advised officers to remain professional in the line of duty and assured them of his administration's commitment to their welfare for optimal performance.
