OFFICIAL CIRCULAR
MANDATORY JAMB REGISTRATION FOR NYSC EXCLUSION CERTIFICATE PROCESSING:
The Centre for Distance Learning (CDL), University of Maiduguri, wishes to inform all Part I and Part II students of the 2025/2026 Academic Session that, following the directive of the Vice-Chancellor, they are required to visit the nearest Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Office and register as "Irregular Students."
This registration is a mandatory requirement for the regularization and validation of students' admission records on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
Students are hereby advised that this directive does not apply exclusively to newly admitted students. It also applies to all eligible returning (continuing/old) students who have not completed the registration and regularization process.
Upon successful registration:
1. JAMB will place the student on the CAPS platform.
2. The University Admissions Officer will process and recommend the student's admission.
3. JAMB will subsequently upload the admission status to the student's portal.
4. The student will then be able to print the official JAMB Admission Letter.
5. Upon graduation, the student will be eligible for the issuance of the NYSC Exclusion Certificate.
All affected students are strongly advised to comply with this directive without delay. Failure to complete this process may result in difficulties in validating admission records and may affect the issuance of the NYSC Exclusion Certificate upon completion of the programme.
Students are therefore urged to treat this matter as a priority and ensure full compliance within the stipulated period.
For further enquiries, students should contact the Examination and Academic Records Unit, Centre for Distance Learning, University of Maiduguri.
