*REPORT ON TODAY’S SKILL ACQUISITION TRAINING PROGRAM*

Today’s training program continued with two major skill acquisition activities: *Baking and Tie & Dye* . These activities provided participants with hands-on experience and opportunities to further develop their practical skills.

*Baking Class*
The baking session focused on teaching students the fundamentals of cake baking and other baked goods. Participants were guided through the entire baking process, including the preparation of ingredients, proper mixing techniques, and baking methods.

Each participant had the chance to actively engage in the baking activities, creating their own baked products under the supervision of the facilitators. The session ended with students tasting the products they made, and their positive responses showed great enthusiasm and satisfaction. This hands-on experience has equipped the students with the confidence and foundational knowledge to attempt baking independently and potentially explore entrepreneurial opportunities in this field.

*Tie & Dye Class*
Simultaneously, another group of students continued their practical work in tie and dye. Building on their previous knowledge, the participants brought their own clothes to the session and applied the techniques learned to create unique designs.

Using the provided tie and dye materials and chemicals, the students displayed remarkable creativity and skill in designing their fabrics. The results were impressive, and the session was very encouraging as it demonstrated the participants’ growing expertise in this craft. This activity has given the students the confidence to experiment further with tie and dye techniques, paving the way for them to develop this skill into a viable craft or business opportunity.

*Conclusion*
Overall, today’s skill acquisition training was highly successful. Both sessions (baking and tie & dye) offered participants valuable opportunities to gain practical, hands-on experience in these fields. The enthusiasm and effort displayed by the students are commendable, and we are optimistic that they will continue to build on the knowledge and skills they have acquired. These activities not only empower participants but also inspire them to explore avenues for personal and professional growth.

Regards.

*Report on Adire Making Training Program*

The Adire Making Training program, conducted over two days, was a highly enriching and impactful experience for all participants. The training was divided into two sessions: an introductory class held yesterday and a practical workshop conducted today.

During the introductory class, participants were introduced to the history and cultural significance of Adire making. The session covered the essential materials, tools, and techniques required for the craft, laying a solid theoretical foundation. Participants gained insight into the various patterns, dye types, and the processes involved in producing high-quality Adire fabrics.

Building on this foundation, the workshop today focused on practical, hands-on learning. Participants were guided step-by-step through the processes of fabric preparation, pattern creation, and dye application. They were given the opportunity to design and create their own Adire fabrics, which helped solidify their understanding and boost their confidence in their newly acquired skills.

Participants expressed immense satisfaction with the training, appreciating the blend of theory and practice. Many conveyed optimism about starting Adire making as a profitable side hustle, recognizing its potential to provide a sustainable source of income.

To foster ongoing mentorship and collaboration, a WhatsApp group was created. This platform will serve as a space for continuous learning, sharing ideas, and addressing challenges as participants begin their Adire-making journey.

We would like to express our profound gratitude to Professor Adeolu Akande, whose generous sponsorship made this training program possible. His support and commitment to empowering individuals through skill acquisition have been a source of inspiration and motivation to all participants.

The program concluded on a positive note, with participants commending the organizers for the clarity, practicality, and business-oriented approach of the training. This initiative marks a significant step toward promoting skill acquisition and economic empowerment in the community.
