INTRODUCTION TO BIBLICAL THEOLOGY
Biblical Theology begins from the central theme of the BIBLE, which is the REVELATION OF GOD and HIS REDEMPTIVE PLAN for mankind through JESUS CHRIST.
It is the foundation of all Theological studies, helping us to understand how GOD progressively revealed HIMSELF from GENESIS to REVELATION. Every book, every prophecy, and every divine act points toward GOD’S ultimate purpose — the SALVATION and RESTORATION of humanity.
This course is the first Theological foundation to be introduced on this platform. It will guide students into a deeper understanding of SCRIPTURE, showing the unity, consistency, and divine inspiration of the WORD OF GOD.
As you follow this teaching, you will gain clarity on GOD’S PURPOSE, grow in SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE, and be equipped to rightly divide the WORD OF TRUTH.
Stay connected and be transformed by the power of GOD’S WORD.
Lesson 1
TOPIC: THE CENTRAL THEME OF THE BIBLE
Biblical Theology begins with one foundational truth: the BIBLE has a central message, and that message is the REDEMPTIVE PLAN OF GOD through JESUS CHRIST.
From GENESIS to REVELATION, the SCRIPTURES reveal GOD’S desire to restore fallen humanity back to HIMSELF. Though written by different authors across many generations, the BIBLE speaks with one voice — the voice of GOD.
In GENESIS, we see CREATION and the FALL of man.
In EXODUS, we see REDEMPTION through deliverance.
In the PROPHETS, we see the PROMISE of a coming SAVIOR.
In the GOSPELS, we see the MANIFESTATION of JESUS CHRIST.
In ACTS and the EPISTLES, we see the ESTABLISHMENT of the CHURCH.
In REVELATION, we see the CONSUMMATION of all things.
All these point to one central theme: GOD redeeming mankind and restoring HIS KINGDOM.
Key Scripture:
Luke 24:27 – “And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, HE expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning HIMSELF."
Lesson Insight:
To understand the BIBLE correctly, you must see JESUS CHRIST as the center of all SCRIPTURE. Without this understanding, the WORD of GOD may appear fragmented, but with it, everything becomes unified and clear.
Assignment:
Read GENESIS Chapter 1–3 and identify how the plan of REDEMPTION begins.
