The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Education Pankshin, Professor Noel Wannang, has reiterated his determination towards the creation of an environment for the sustainance and development of the University.

Professor Noel Wannang, disclosed this during the handing over of an office to IJMB Unit and unveiling of shcruptures at the frontage of the University.

Commissioning the edifice, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Noel Wannang said the baby Unit is an avenue for producing future students to be absolved into the Institution.

Professor Wannang lamented that the challenges of Nigeria are Africa are not the provision of infrastructures but maintenance culture.

Receiving the keys from the Vice Chancellor, coordinator of the IJMB programme, Doctor Patrick Panle, thanked the Vice Chancellor for his visionary leadership and assured of putting the edifice to proper used

Unveiling the schrucptures, the Vice Chancellor noted that although they are sources of Beautification, human and environmental factors have affected them.

Professor Wannang said the University is known for setting the pace and will continue to do so.

The Vice Chancellor appreciated the department of fine and creative Arts for the outstanding performance.

Head of Department Fine and Creative Arts, Associate Professor Manman Jatau said books remind people of how to think but schrucptures reminds people how to feel in the beauty of human expression.

The head of Department while appreciating the graduating NCE class of two thousand and twenty six for feat thanked the Vice Chancellor for supporting the idea.

Speaking on behalf of the executive chairmen of the Central zone, Chairman of Pankshin Local Government council, Hon.Felix Amos Gonung, commended the Vice Chancellor and the Department for the laudable gesture and promised stronger collaboration.

The Chairman promised fifty thousand Naira to each student involved in the rehabilitation edifice as a sign of encouragement.

Climax of the occasion was cutting and handling over of the office edifice and unveiling of the scriptures.

NGO COMMISSIONS 40 ELECTRIC TRICYCLES TO PANKSHIN VARSITY.

An NGO, House of Destiny, in collaboration with the Federal University of Education Pankshin (FUEP), has commissioned 40 electric tricycles to boost transportation.

Commissioning the tricycles at the Convocation Arena of the institution, the Vice-Chancellor (V-C), Prof. Noel Wannang, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of staff, students, and the community.

“House of Destiny brought a solution to one of the problems we are facing. As the university expands, staff and students are scattered across town due to insufficient accommodation.

“This situation makes the movement of staff and students difficult, which necessitated the introduction of these tricycles.

“This will save time and money, and contribute to an environmentally friendly campus,” Wannang said.

Wannang expressed optimism that the initiative would touch the lives of thousands of people in the University community, enhance productivity, learning, and boost business activities.

He appreciated House of Destiny for the partnership and urged the handlers of the tricycles to manage them well so they could serve the purpose for which they were intended.

Dr Olajumoke Israel, Chief Executive Officer of House of Destiny Global Services, said the organisation was committed to aligning with the vision of the Institution for developmental purposes.

According to Israel, he loves working with vision-minded leaders, which is why FUEP became the second Institution in the country to benefit from the programme.

“It is our vision to help societies in whatever way we can, and do our best to drive a generational paradigm shift towards a green economy, which is taking place in most of the developed world.

“These tricycles will serve as a source of employment for the youths; our company will make money, the university will make money, and business activities will thrive,” he said.

He promised continuous partnership with the Institution to improve the lives of staff, students, and society in general.

Also at the event, Mrs Silas Marie, the Chief Executive Officer of Ravisa Artis, the firm in charge of the tricycle handlers, commended the V-C’s visionary leadership and developmental drive.

“Today we are gathered not only to celebrate the commissioning of 40 electric tricycles but to celebrate a confirmed vision turning into reality,” Marie said.

According to her, the tricycles are eco-friendly, and their zero emissions and noiseless operation will move the University towards a cleaner, greener, and brighter future.

There were goodwill messages from the Executive Chairmen of Pankshin LGC Hon. Felix Amos Gonung, Kanam LGC Hon.Salihu Ayuba Musa, Kanke LGC Hon. Lapching Ezekiel Golime, Bokkos LGC Hon. FUEP VC DENOUNCES FAKE FACEBOOK ACCOUNT, FRAUDULENT JOB OFFERS
9th August, 2026.

The attention of the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Pankshin (FUEP), Prof. Noel Nen’man Ndalbeh Wannang, has been drawn to the existence of a fake Facebook account purportedly belonging to him.

The fraudulent account is using the Vice-Chancellor’s photograph and is allegedly circulating messages claiming that a list of government candidates is expected from Abuja in the coming week, with successful candidates scheduled to resume work in September as Administrative Officers with Degree and HND qualifications.

The scammer is also reportedly advertising 12 employment slots for sale, thereby misleading members of the public and potentially defrauding unsuspecting job seekers.

The University wishes to categorically state that the said Facebook account is fake, fraudulent and unauthorised, and does not belong to or represent Prof. Noel Nen’man Ndalbeh Wannang.

Members of the public are therefore strongly advised to disregard any information, requests, messages, offers of employment slots or financial solicitations originating from the fraudulent account.

Prof. Noel Nen’man Ndalbeh Wannang does not conduct official business or solicit financial assistance through unofficial social media platforms. Any purported employment opportunity or request for payment made through such channels should be treated as fraudulent.

The matter has been officially reported to the appropriate authorities for investigation and necessary action.

For authentic information and official communication concerning the Vice-Chancellor and the Federal University of Education, Pankshin, members of the public are advised to rely only on verified and authorised communication channels.

The Vice-Chancellor and the University shall not be held responsible for any transaction, payment, communication or other dealings entered into with the fraudulent account or persons operating it.

Members of the public are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious communication or employment offer to the appropriate authorities.

FUEP Career Services Centre Sensitises Fresh Students on Career Development and Campus Success.

The Federal University of Education Pankshin (FUEP) has taken a significant step towards preparing its newly admitted students for life beyond the classroom, with a comprehensive sensitisation programme focused on campus life, career planning and professional development.

The programme, organised by the University’s Career Services Centre, brought together students, academic leaders and career experts to equip fresh undergraduates with the knowledge, skills and mindset needed to thrive academically and build successful careers from their first year.

Speaking at the event, the Vice Chancellor of FUEP, Prof. Noel Wannang, urged the students to maximise the opportunities provided by the Career Services Centre, describing early career planning as a vital ingredient for future success.

Represented by the Director of Physical Planning, Arc. Joseph Inuwa, the Vice Chancellor encouraged the students to participate actively in the sensitisation sessions and commended the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) for selecting FUEP as one of Nigeria’s designated Career Services Centres.

In his welcome address, the Director of the Career Services Centre, Dr. Joshua Ndit, represented by the Deputy Director, Dr. Lidimma Benjamin Golkwi, said the Centre is committed to producing graduates who are academically sound, professionally competent and globally competitive.

He explained that career development begins from the first day of admission and continues throughout a student’s academic journey, noting that the Centre provides career counselling, mentorship, employability skills training, CV and cover letter writing support, interview preparation, entrepreneurship development, internship guidance and networking opportunities.

The sensitisation featured thought-provoking presentations by seasoned academics and professionals.

The Dean of the College of Sciences, Prof. Dung Mohammed Dauda, spoke on “Building a Successful Career from the First Year,” urging students to cultivate discipline, purpose and excellence from the outset.

Career Coach, Mrs. Susan Ochigbo, delivered a presentation titled “Making Smart Choices on Campus – Character, Purpose and Life After Graduation,” while the Link Person for Colleges and Schools, Mr. Manpan Dogara, addressed participants on “Thriving on Campus: Balancing Academics, Social Life and Personal Growth.”

Also speaking, the Link Person for Alumni, Mr. Nenfort Joseph, presented “Beyond Your Degree – Skills Every Nigerian Undergraduate Needs for the Future,” stressing the growing importance of digital, entrepreneurial and interpersonal skills in today’s competitive labour market.

The programme concluded with closing remarks by the Link Person for Industries and Employers, Comrade Canaan Danok, who challenged the students to remain focused and take advantage of every opportunity available throughout their academic journey.

The sensitisation reflects FUEP’s growing commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically excellent but also equipped with the practical skills, professional networks and career readiness required to succeed in an evolving global economy.

FUE Pankshin Hosts Pension Sensitisation Workshop to Boost Staff Financial Security.

The Federal University of Education, Pankshin (FUEP), has reinforced its commitment to staff welfare by organizing a comprehensive pension sensitisation workshop designed to improve financial literacy and retirement preparedness among employees.

Held under the theme “Securing Our Tomorrow Today: Promoting Pension Awareness and Retirement Readiness Among University Staff,” the one-day workshop brought together experts from FCMB Pensions, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, Access ARM Pensions, NUPEMCO, and Tangerine APT Pensions to educate staff on the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and effective retirement planning.

Welcoming participants, Senior Deputy Registrar (Pensions), Chidubem Onyejeme, urged staff to embrace pension planning as an ongoing responsibility. She stressed that understanding pension processes and maintaining accurate records are essential steps toward achieving financial stability after retirement.

Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Noel Wannang, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Judith Dawulung, praised the initiative, noting that retirement readiness contributes to a more motivated and productive workforce. She reaffirmed the University’s dedication to programmes that improve staff welfare and safeguard their future.

Experts at the workshop provided practical guidance on pension administration, statutory rights under the CPS, Pension Fund Administrator (PFA) selection and transfer procedures, voluntary contributions, wealth creation, debt management, and healthcare planning for retirement.

The Bursar, Alhaji Amale Bello, also updated staff on pension remittances, while the Registrar, Mr. Longtong Yadok, commended the University Management, Pension Unit, and resource persons for organising a timely and impactful programme.

The workshop reflects FUE Pankshin’s unwavering commitment to empowering employees with the knowledge required to make informed financial decisions, maximize pension benefits, and enjoy a financially secure retirement.

UPDATE ON SECURITY MATTERS AT THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, PANKSHIN

The Federal University of Education, Pankshin (FUEP), has recorded another breakthrough in its ongoing efforts to protect University property and strengthen campus security.

In the early hours of Thursday, 6 August 2026, the University’s vigilant security personnel apprehended a suspected vandal identified as Tashaka Yusuf, an indigene of Tambes Village, who was allegedly caught removing window frames and other fittings from buildings on campus.

According to preliminary reports, the suspect was tracked by the University’s agile security team and apprehended while allegedly carrying out the act. He reportedly admitted to involvement in the vandalism of windows and frames within the University.

The University commends the Chief Security Officer Wing Commander Paul Maimako Yusuf and the entire security team for their professionalism, vigilance, and prompt response in safeguarding institutional assets.

Management also urges staff, students, and members of the surrounding community to remain vigilant and continue supporting the University’s security architecture by providing timely and credible information that will help eliminate criminal activities on campus.

The Federal University of Education, Pankshin (FUEP) has received a major boost in its commitment to environmental sustainability following the donation of tree saplings by the Green Thumb Entrepreneurs to support the University’s campus tree-planting campaign.

The donation was made during a courtesy visit by the association to the University’s management, underscoring a shared commitment to promoting environmental conservation and creating a greener academic environment.

Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Noel Wannang, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Anthonia Chukwu, expressed the University’s appreciation for the thoughtful gesture.

She conveyed the Vice-Chancellor’s gratitude, noting that the donation aligns with FUEP’s vision of building a clean, beautiful, and environmentally sustainable campus. She assured the delegation that the University would carefully consider and implement the practical recommendations presented during the visit to strengthen its tree-planting programme.

Speaking on behalf of the Green Thumb Entrepreneurs, the association’s President, Engr. Nenfort Wongdem, described entrepreneurship as the ability to identify pressing societal and environmental challenges, mobilise resources, and develop innovative solutions that create lasting impact.

According to him, environmental sustainability should remain a core responsibility of every organisation and community. He explained that the association was proud to support FUEP’s greening initiative, particularly because many members of the University’s staff are active members of the Green Thumb Entrepreneurs.

Engr. Wongdem stressed the importance of tree planting, sustainable agricultural practices, and collective environmental action in addressing the growing threats of climate change, soil erosion, and global warming.

The association’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Leonard Padung, who also serves as the Head of Department Educational Management at FUEP, formally introduced the delegation and offered strategic recommendations to enhance the sustainability of the University’s tree-planting campaign.

Among his recommendations were the establishment of tree-planting sub-committees across colleges and faculties, increased environmental awareness campaigns, stronger stakeholder collaboration, and the implementation of protective measures to safeguard young saplings from damage by stray animals.

The highlight of the visit was the formal presentation of the donated tree saplings to the University management, symbolising a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable campus development.

Delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of the Registrar, the Senior Deputy Registrar, Mr. Aaron Yatu, commended the Green Thumb Entrepreneurs for their generous contribution to the University’s physical and environmental development. He assured the delegation that their recommendations would be integrated into the operational framework of the University’s Tree-Planting Committee.

*FUEP Management Consoles Bursar, Visits Family in Lafia After Brother’s Death*

The Management of the Federal University of Education, Pankshin (FUEP), has demonstrated its commitment to compassion and Institutional solidarity by paying a condolence visit to the University’s Bursar, Alhaji Amale Bello, following the death of his immediate younger brother, Mallam Ibrahim Bello.

The delegation, led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Noel N. Wannang, travelled to Lafia, Nasarawa State to sympathise with the bereaved family during their time of grief.

Accompanying the Vice Chancellor were the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Professor Judith Dawulung; the Registrar, Mr. Yadok Longtong Godwill; the University Librarian, Dr. Samson Ainoko; and the Aide to the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Dekom Smart Habila-Bako.

The late Mallam Ibrahim Bello served as a staff member in the University’s Registry Department until his passing. His death has been described as a significant loss to both the Institution and his family.

Speaking during the visit, Professor Wannang conveyed the University’s heartfelt condolences, noting that the visit reflected the strong bond, unity, and sense of family that define the FUEP community.

On behalf of the family, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Hon. Aliyu Bello, expressed gratitude to the University management for standing with the family in their moment of sorrow. He prayed for God’s continued guidance and blessings upon the University’s leadership.

In a touching moment during the visit, Professor Wannang reunited with some of his former schoolmates in Lafia—friends he had not seen since 1983. The unexpected reunion brought a nostalgic pause to an otherwise solemn occasion.

The management team also visited Amina Bello, daughter of the Bursar, who is receiving treatment after being involved in the same accident.

The condolence visit reflects the Federal University of Education, Pankshin’s culture of empathy and shared humanity, reinforcing the belief that beyond professional responsibilities, members of the University community remain one family.

Former Plateau Assembly Speaker Gabriel Dewan Donates Sports Kits to FUE Pankshin

Former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly and current Minority Leader, Hon. Gabriel Dewan has donated sports kits to the Federal University of Education, Pankshin (FUEP), in a move aimed at strengthening sports development and nurturing young talents within the Institution.

Receiving the donation, the Vice-Chancellor of FUEP, Prof. Noel Nen’man Ndalbeh Wannang, described the gesture as a strategic investment in the future of the University and its students, noting that sports remain one of the Institution’s 27 strategic priorities for the next five years.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, the University is committed to institutionalising sports, discovering hidden talents among students and creating opportunities for them to excel at national and international levels.

Prof. Wannang commended Hon. Dewan for the generous donation, emphasizing that investing in students is an investment in the future of society.

“Most Universities outside Nigeria are not developed with Government funds alone; they are built through the support of individuals,” he said.

He further noted that excellence in sports, like every other field, requires patience, preparation, teamwork, hard work and the willingness of people to invest in others.

“The true measure of greatness is not what we acquire but what we leave behind for others. A University is not built by bricks and mortar alone; it is built by the generosity, goodwill and shared vision of people who believe in its future,” he added.

The Vice-Chancellor praised Hon. Dewan, for his continued commitment to education and youth development, while encouraging members of the University community to make good use of the sporting facilities.

Earlier, Dean of Students' Affairs Directorate Prof. Danjuma Gokum, described Hon. Dewan as a consistent supporter of the University and assured him that the donated equipment would be effectively utilized to improve sporting activities and enhance the Institution’s profile.

Also speaking, Chairman of the University’s Sports Committee, Prof. Joseph Bakdima, applauded the Vice-Chancellor for attracting support from public-spirited individuals and pledged that the committee would ensure the equipment is properly maintained and fully utilized.

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) President, Comrade Lohkur Vongdip, expressed appreciation to both the University management and the donor, saying the donation would help revive sports and position FUEP for greater achievements in competitive sporting events.

Registrar of the University, Mr. Yadok Longtong Godwill also commended the Vice-Chancellor’s efforts in mobilising support for the Institution and urged staff members to emulate the leadership by engaging well-meaning individuals and organizations in advancing the University’s development.

The donated items include footballs, basketballs, volleyballs, jerseys, tracksuits, tennis balls and other sporting equipment, which are expected to significantly boost sporting activities and talent development at the University.

The donation further underscores the growing role of private individuals in complementing Government efforts to improve infrastructure, students welfare and overall Institutional development in Nigeria’s tertiary education sector.
