On 24th and 25th June 2026, Arthur Jarvis University Hospital hosted a Two-Day Free Medical Outreach for residents from the various clans of Akpabuyo.

Beneficiaries received free malaria testing, blood pressure checks, eye examinations, deworming medication, and vitamin supplements. In partnership with Optometry Giving Sight, free reading glasses were also provided, while patients with serious eye conditions were referred to our Ultra-Modern Eye Clinic commissioned in December 2025.

As highlighted by our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Eyo, this outreach reflects the vision of our Chancellor, Sir Dr. Arthur Jarvis Archibong — to provide quality, affordable healthcare to Akpabuyo and beyond.

A reminder: AJU Hospital and Ultra-Modern Eye Clinic are open to the general public, not just students and staff. Your health matters.

AJU at the 67th Annual Conference of the Nigeria Economic Society

Arthur Jarvis University (AJU) was proudly represented at the 67th Annual Conference of the Nigeria Economic Society (NES), themed “Unlocking Africa’s Technology Potential: Sustainability and Economic Transformation; Emerging Issues and Policy Options.”

Representing the University was the Head of the Department of Economics, Dr. Daniella Nwanne, who made meaningful contributions to the conference’s academic and professional engagements.

Dr. Nwanne served as a member of the Communiqué Drafting Committee, contributing to the documentation and synthesis of key proceedings, policy perspectives and outcomes from the conference, which featured distinguished policymakers, economists, academics and stakeholders, including the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Senator Kashim Shettima.

She also presented a paper examining the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence on Economics education, with a focus on teaching, learning and economic research, highlighting the opportunities AI presents for advancing the future of Economics education.

We are delighted to see AJU represented at such a significant gathering and proud of Dr. Nwanne’s contribution to academic discourse, research and the Economics profession.
