Our attention have been drawn on a purported list of staff sifted from various state Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA's) to Shehu Shagari University of Education in circulation on social media recently. This is to clarify that, the Ministry has not yet issued any list on the absorption/transfer of eligible staff from various MDA's in the state civil service to the institution.
To this end, we hereby call on the general public to disregard the list as it is dubiously, falsely and mischievously created to cause confusion within the state and sabotage the effort of the state government in the development of education sector in the state.
However, we wish to state categorically here that, His Excellency the Executive Governor of Sokoto State Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto PhD, FCNA, ACIT has constituted a strong committee to handle all matters concerning the sifting of staff from various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA's) in the state to Shehu Shagari University of Education (SSUE) under the leadership of Hon. Muhammad Bello Sifawa, Secretary to the State Government.
We therefore, wish to call on the general public to rely only on official information legally issued by the government as required on this and all other matters and consider the list in circulation as baseless and unreliable.
