PUBLIC NOTICE ON UTME (JAMB) PREPARATION

The National Association of Tafawa Balewa Students (NATABS), under the leadership of Comr. Aliyu Yahaya Abdullahi, wishes to inform all concerned secondary school students and prospective candidates preparing for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that our forthcoming Student Mentorship and Orientation Program is designed to guide and support students in preparing effectively for the examination.

The program will focus on providing useful information regarding JAMB subject combinations, examination strategies, study techniques, and academic mentorship aimed at helping students achieve success in their UTME.

We therefore encourage all interested students to participate and take advantage of this opportunity to gain the necessary knowledge and motivation needed for academic excellence.

The Global President of the National Association of Tafawa-Balewa Students (NATABS), Comrade Aiyu Yahaya Adullahi, is pleased to formally announce the appointment of key Principal Officers to the Office of the National President. These appointments mark a significant step toward strengthening institutional leadership, administrative coordination, and effective communication within the Association.

The newly appointed officials are:

Comr. Abubakar Abdulhamid Gital – Chief of Staff to the National President

Chief Abdulhaseeb Usman Rabiu – Head of Service

Comr. Andrew Rafael – Spokesperson to the National President

The National President of NATABS emphasized that the appointments were made after careful consideration of merit, commitment, leadership capacity, and dedication to the ideals and objectives of the students body Union. The appointments shows the administration’s commitment to repositioning NATABS for greater impact, unity, and progressive development. Today happened to be a remarkable day with full of greatness as the leadership of NATABS under the capable and able leadership of our own capacity President in person of Comrd Aliyu Yahaya Abdullahi Bununu led some of his executives to the office of Honourable commissioner for Agriculture Bauchi State whom is a father, mentor, guidian and counselor not within Tafawabalewa environ but in Bauchi state and Nigeria at large.

The honourable Commissioner whom was very delighted and full of joy to see us in his office in which he advised us in so many aspects of leadership and solidly gave us a great wellcoming arm by assuring us that whenever we call upon him that he's willing and ready to be of our aid.

It was indeed a great honour meeting him because we discussed so many things that can bring development to the Association and in Tafawabalewa Local Government, furthermore he also gave us so many instances on some past personalities whom had contributed a lot during their time as leaders in our territory, he wish us the very best and concluded that we are always wellcome.

ELECTION GUIDELINES FOR THE 2026 NATABS NATIONAL CONVENTION

The Independent National Convention Committee (INCC) 2026 of the National Association Of Tafawa-Balewa Students warmly welcomes all accredited delegates, aspirants, observers, and guests to the 2026 NATABS National Convention scheduled to hold as follows:

Date: Tuesday, 27th January, 2026
Time: 8:00 a.m. prompt
Venue: Central Primary School Bununu

This year’s National Convention marks a defining moment in the Union’s democratic journey as we collectively work to entrench transparency, fairness, and credible leadership transition in strict compliance with the NATABS Constitution (as amended 2023).
In view of the above, the following guidelines shall govern participation, accreditation, and voting during the convention:

ELECTION GUIDELINES

1. Only accredited institutions are eligible to participate in the convention.

2. Only accredited delegates duly cleared by the INCC are eligible to vote.

3. Each accredited institution is entitled to a maximum of three (3) delegates.

4. Every institution’s delegation must present an introductory/recommendation letter from their Students’ Affairs Dean and Local Chapter President (Original copy only; photocopies shall not be accepted).

5. All delegates must present their valid School Identity Cards for verification.

6. Each aspirant is allowed to designate one (1) campaign agent who shall be identified and accredited before the election commences.
7. Any aspirant found Engaging in acts of violence, or disorderly conduct shall be disqualified.
8. Accreditation and voting shall commence simultaneously under strict supervision of security and electoral officials.

We appreciate the Cooperation of all security agencies, the stakeholders and Tafawa-Balewa LGA, for their continued support in ensuring a successful convention.

NATABS INCC 2026 Successfully Conducts Screening Exercise for Aspirants Ahead of the 2026 National Convention.

The Independent National Convention Committee (INCC) 2026 of the National Association of Tafawa-Balewa Students (NATBS) hereby announces the successful conduct of the screening exercise for aspirants seeking elective positions ahead of the forthcoming 2026 National Convention.

The screening exercise was carried out in line with the provisions of the NATBS Constitution and the guidelines set by the INCC, with the primary objective of ensuring transparency, credibility, fairness, and strict adherence to due process in the emergence of candidates for the national elections.

During the exercise, aspirants were thoroughly assessed based on established criteria, including eligibility requirements, submission of valid credentials, compliance with constitutional provisions, and demonstrated commitment to the ideals and objectives of the Association. The process was conducted in an orderly, peaceful, and transparent manner, reflecting the INCC’s resolve to uphold democratic principles and institutional integrity.

The INCC 2026 commends all aspirants for their cooperation, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the screening process. The Committee also appreciates the support of stakeholders, observers, and members of the Association whose contributions ensured the smooth conduct of the exercise.

The list of cleared aspirants will be officially communicated through appropriate NATBS channels in due course. Aspirants and members of the Association are advised to remain guided by official communications from the INCC and to continue to uphold the values of unity, respect, and democratic engagement as preparations toward the 2026 National Convention progress.

The Independent National Convention Committee reiterates its commitment to delivering a free, fair, and credible convention that reflects the collective will of Tafawa-Balewa students nationwide.

EXTENSION OF FORM PURCHASE EXERCISE AND UPDATED ELECTION TIMELINE

The Independent National Convention Committee (INCC) 2026 of the National Association of Tafawa-Balewa Students (NATABS) wishes to inform all members and the general public that the form purchase exercise has been extended by 2 days due to unavoidable circumstances.

In light of this development, the committee has adjusted the election timeline as follows:

- Screening of Aspirants: 19th January, 2026
- Complaints Submissions: 20th January, 2026
- Election Date: 27th January, 2026 (as earlier stated)

All other aspects of the election process remain unchanged.
