BEFORE LYING LIPS AND RUMOUR MILLS GET ACTIVE:
EMPLOYMENT IN MOUAU IS NOT FOR SALE

It is, perhaps, no longer news that Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, advertised for teaching/academic and non-teaching staff positions on Friday, October 10, 2025 in two national newspapers, namely: The Guardian and Punch.

In the advertisement, interested and suitably qualified members of the public were invited to apply for available positions through a weblink dedicated for the process. In other simpler words, the process of application is entirely online.

Since the application portal became active, some members of the public have started contacting people they know within and outside the University, to seek their support and assistance in securing jobs in the University. In fact, people are begining to ask questions about how much money it could cost to secure jobs in the University.

While we appreciate the robust interest members of the public have shown in starting or continuing their careers in Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, it is important to alert them to beware of employment racketeers, whose stock in trade is to seize every opportunity to defraud unsuspecting job seekers.

For the records and before lying lips and rumour mills become active and start spreading lies, we hereby state categorically that employment in Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike is not for sale and there are no slots of employment reserved or allocated to any person or group of persons in the process.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, has never and will never demand financial or any form of gratification from anybody in the discharge of his duties in public service.

The public is hereby put on alert to be ready and willing to resist, refuse and expose any person or group of persons who may present himself/herself or themselves as agent/s of the Vice-Chancellor and demand financial or any other form of inducement for the purpose of securing employment in MOUAU.

The public is also warned that any job seeker who offers money to anybody in the name of the Vice-Chancellor or indeed any member of his Management team will be arrested and prosecuted for corruption.

Similarly, any staff of the University who is found to be involved in any act that is capable of tarnishing the good image of the Vice-Chancellor and reputation of the University, as far as the employment process is concerned, will face the full weight of the disciplinary actions of the University.

To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

MOUAU RELEASES FIRST BATCH POST UTME RESULT FOR 2024 /2025 SESSION

Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike First Batch Post-UTME Screening results for the 2024 /2025 session have been released. Candidates who registered between 12th August and 22nd August 2024 in the screening exercise can proceed to check their results online. Also, Candidates who are yet to see their Screening results are advised not to panic for more Screening results will be uploaded subsequently.
Candidates are also advised to upload their O'level result in any Accredited Jamb Centre.

This is to inform Candidates that choose MOUAU as their first choice, should ensure they Upload their Olevel results in JAMB CAPS, Also Check in your JAMB profile that such results have been uploaded successfully before registering for the PUTME.
Candidates who recently uploaded their O'level results via any recognised CBT centre should exercise patience and keep checking on the Portal Site if your results have been uploaded by the PORTAL in the portal site.

2024/2025 UTME/DE ADMISSION SCREENING APPLICATION GUIDELINES

This is to inform all prospective candidates that the admission screening exercise for the 2024/2025 academic session at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) is now open.

ELIGIBILITY:

All candidates who scored 140 and above in the 2024/2025 UTME examinations and made Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) their first (1st) choice are eligible. Candidates who did not make MOUAU their first (1st) choice can do so at the JAMB Portal and then apply accordingly. Applicants who wish to change to MOUAU should visit the link: [https://mouau.edu.ng/academic-department-by-faculty/](https://mouau.edu.ng/academic-department-by-faculty/).

REQUIREMENTS:

Beginning on 12th August 2024, candidates are required to register online for the admission screening exercise. To register, candidates must proceed as follows:

1. Visit the University Website at [www.mouau.edu.ng](http://www.mouau.edu.ng).

2. Click on the 2024/2025 Admission Screening banner.

3. Click on the buttons below.

4. Enter their JAMB Registration Number.

5. Enter their valid email address and valid phone number, or valid email address and valid phone number of their guardians for records and contact purposes.

6. This leads them to the Remita Payment Platform where an RRR Invoice is generated with which payment of N2000.00 will be made. Payment can be made by debit/credit card or by taking their RRR Invoice to any bank nationwide and depositing cash. Transaction charge(s) apply. Please: If you encounter any challenge(s) after payment, kindly send an email to the University Portal Office at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).

7. After payment, kindly click on the link below to validate your payment: [https://portal.mouau.edu.ng/remita/query-remita/](https://portal.mouau.edu.ng/remita/query-remita/), [https://portal.mouau.edu.ng/registration/putme/jamb-no-verification](https://portal.mouau.edu.ng/registration/putme/jamb-no-verification).

8. Register by filling out the online Application form, selecting the proposed Department, and providing other required details. Note: Some fields are pre-filled and cannot be changed.

9. All candidates should upload their WAEC/NECO/NABTEB results to the MOUAU platform after confirming that the details are correct before the form is submitted.

10. Candidates awaiting 2024 WAEC/NECO/NABTEB results are advised not to register till these results are available. As soon as these results are out, they are expected to register for screening.

11. To gain admission, all candidates are required to upload their O’Level results to the JAMB Portal in any Accredited JAMB CBT Centre.

12. Direct Entry Candidates are requested to upload their O’Level results and Requisite Qualifying Certificate (Original in PDF) while filling the Screening Form.

13. Fill out the form, submit, and take a print-out after executing the Submit button. The system sends a copy of the submitted forms to their emails for records.

14. Kindly note that the University is not liable for any wrong information entered by candidates.

15. Candidates are advised to check the University portal for their screening test results periodically after registration.

Candidates should regularly check the website for further information on their admission status.
