The conferment of the Best Rector Award on Dr. Oyakhiromhe Bamidele Agbadua, FCIB, Rector, National Institute of Construction Technology and Management Uromi is a fitting recognition of an administrator whose leadership has redefined excellence, innovation, and institutional growth. Since assuming office as the 2nd substantive Rector, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to repositioning the institution as a centre of academic distinction, technological advancement, and quality service delivery.

Under his visionary leadership, NICTM has witnessed remarkable transformation in infrastructure, academic development, research, staff welfare, and student engagement. His administration has pursued policies that place human capital development at the heart of institutional progress, creating an environment where staff and students alike are empowered to excel.
One of the hallmarks of his tenure has been the revitalisation and accreditation of academic programmes, ensuring that NICTM remains competitive and responsive to national educational standards.

Recognising that quality education thrives on adequate facilities, he has currently embarked on the Construction of Broadcasting house for student of Mass Communication, Construction of Science Laboratory Technology Laboratory, Mechatronics workshop and many others.

This culture of fairness and recognition has strengthened staff morale and institutional productivity. More so, staff complaints are matched with genuine consideration and one can go home to rest trusting that his administration does not encourage bias.

NICTM students and staff have actively participated in national competitions and events such as NIPOGA and NIPOSSGA, projecting the institution's growing prominence on the national stage. Though we are not where we aught to be yet, but the progression of students enrollment cannot be over emphasized.
