CELEBRATION OF GOD'S GRACE (100 DAYS IN OFFICE)
"Transformation," as they say, is indeed a "process of great change from where one was to where one plans to be so as to have the life one desires..."
Today, being the 17th of March 2024, as we (FAMSSA Executives) mark our 100 days in office, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt appreciation to all Famssaites
We are truly grateful for the opportunity given us to serve as your leaders.
In the past 100 days, we have witnessed your unwavering commitment to excellence, your willingness to embrace challenges, and your remarkable ability to inspire positive change.
Together, we have created a supportive and inclusive environment where every voice is valued and every dream is encouraged.
Among this remarkable and notable transformation are but not limited to:
*OUR SUCCESS STORIES SO FAR........*
*▶️Thanksgiving Service:* A Thanksgiving service was observed in appreciation to God Almighty for the victory He gave us.
*▶️Leadership Summit:* This was an event organised to prepare the leaders in the faculty in response to the tasks ahead.
It's an event that brought great leaders from within and outside the faculty.
It had in attendance great leaders such as Sen. Godwin Edwin, the 5th Students Union's Senate President, Uniuyo, also a prowess in leadership, Sir. Cornel, who came to share their wonderful insight about leadership and also in attendance, was H.E. Comr. Michael Effiong, Faculty President, Faculty of Management Sciences-AKSU.
The event was tagged, The Opening of the Executives and Parliamentarians Service Year. (1.0),
*▶️Payment of Fees:* As part of the maximum transformation agenda, in Academic Revitalization, the Maxwel Ekata-led administration by the grace of God aided the students (Famssaites) in payment of school fees, free registration of courses and settlement of their school charges.
*▶️Friendly Football Game:* Just a day in office, through the office of the Director of Sports and the association's football team, a friendly match was played between FAMSSA and a neighbouring faculty, and victory was brought home.
*▶️Change of Association's Name:* The Maxwel Ekata-led administration with the ever active members of the House of Assembly and her students brought a change of name to the association (FAMSSA).
*▶️Renovation of Famssaites Convenience:* The abandoned students' restrooms were renovated and brought to a good state of use and are now ready to be used after many months of relinquishment.
*▶️Free Tech Training:* First of it kind, an ongoing free 4 months Web Development programme for Famssaites.
*▶️Free Matric Photo Shoot:* As a way of celebrating our newly admitted students and making them enjoy the fun of matriculation, a free photo shoot was organised.
*▶️Bambi House Party:* All work and no play... a social gathering was organised for Famssaites 100L as a means to bond and welcome them to the association.
*▶️Free Live Viewing of AFCON Final Match:* The Maxwel Ekata-led administration during the AFCON final match organised a free live stream of the football match where all Famssaites and non-Famssaites came together to watch and enjoyed the game.
*▶️Faculty Sanitation & Breakfast:* In line with the all-inclusive governance, the Forum of Departmental Presidents, in collaboration with the FAMSSA Executives, organised a cleanup/breakfast session.
*▶️FAMSSA Prayer Summit:* A prayer session for the students in preparation for the previous semester exams and holidays.
*▶️AND MANY OTHERS.....*
As we embark on the next phase of our journey, let us continue to work together, learn from one another, and strive for even greater heights, and with our collective efforts, continued dedication and determination, we are confidence that will achieve remarkable success and rebirth an association of our dream with maximum transformation.
