With Andrea Leiter, Director of the Amsterdam Center for International Law and a Fellow at the Zug Institute for Blockchain Research, Simon Trimborn, Assistant Professor of Econometrics and Data Science, and Mike Russell, a Principal Lecturer and researcher at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.

What if we chose humanity first? With author Joris Luyendijk, genocide scholar Uğur Ümit Üngör, and human rights advocate Hope Rikkelman.

What if AI could transform the way we experience art? With Professor of Conservation and Restoration Rob Erdmann.

Today, at the start of a new academic year, we’re launching a new strategy for the UvA. Running through all of it is one idea: the more ways of seeing we bring together, the more of the picture we get.

Your research field, your questions, the things you notice that nobody else in the room does. That is what we’re building on this year and the years after it.

(Learn to) repair your bike at the ! 🚲🛠️💪

No money/time to visit a bike shop in the city? Visit the Bike Kitchen at the bicycle parking underneath Roeterseiland and learn to fix your bike yourself!

The Bike Kitchen is a workshop run by students with a passion for cycling and repair culture. And if your bike’s broken, they help you fix it! They help you to look what’s wrong, have all the tools you need and explain how to fix your bike all by yourself (and give a hand when needed ofc).
