No, you're probably assuming the wrong thing right now. 🤔

This game, that is built by two of our students, you'd guess they were running some kind of 3D game engine. WRONG.
They built it with an old-school technique called ray-casting, basically math that tricks your eyes into seeing a 3D maze that's really just a 2D grid underneath. Same trick that made the very first FPS games possible, decades before "3D engines" were even a thing. 👾

No engine here either. They wrote all of it themselves...wall angles, distances. All of it were calculated live as you walk through the maze.

One of their peers genuinely didn't know what to say:

"This is so next level there are legit no words I can think of that do this justice. No emoji reaction either for that matter" 😭

So yeah. Congrats Abdo and Luca, this one's insane. 🔥

Week 3: this is where you find out if you're making it to the finish line. 🌊

Day one's excitement is gone. What's carried you this far is perseverance, grit, and the community around you.

This is the week you realize you're not swimming alone. 🐬 Apart from helping each other with projects, pisciners get together for alumni talks to karaoke nights, potlucks to workout sessions to Mario Kart tournaments. The community shows up in every form. When you're stuck, someone swims over to help. That's peer-to-peer.

Week three is hard. That's the point. And you've got a pool full of people to get through it with.

Today our students met mentors from top tech companies for the first time. Only quick chats to find their potential match. Next up: 3 months of one-on-one guidance, shadowing days, and real talk about life in tech.

Most people think Codam is "just another coding school."

It isn't.

Here are five things that often surprise first-time visitors:

No tuition fees. No hidden costs.

Many of our students write their very first line of code during the Selection Piscine.

Students learn through peer-to-peer learning by collaborating, reviewing each other's work, and solving real programming challenges together.

97% of our graduates find a job within six months after graduating, with employers valuing not only their technical skills but also their ability to learn, collaborate, and solve problems.

July 20th! Day 1! A new journey begins!
A whole new group of PISCINERS just walked into Codam, ready to prove themselves. 👀

For the next 4 weeks, "Pisciners" will:
- push through when it gets uncomfortable
- fail, get up, and come back harder
- share their knowledge and learn from one another
- discover what they're actually capable of

No teachers. No lectures. Just pisciners and the projects!
Don't worry, you're all on the same boat!

Two hours. One prototype. Countless lessons.

At Techleap's Sprint Zero hackathon, Lydia, one of our students, worked with her team to build a prototype for a real company in just two hours.

With such a short timeframe, AI helped the team quickly turn their ideas into something they could test, interact with and present. But as Lydia explains, learning to build the technical foundations yourself is just as important. AI can help you explore ideas, but understanding how things work is a skill that lasts.

At Techleap's Sprint Zero hackathon, Lydia, one of our students, teamed up with advanced developers to solve a real problem for a real company.

So one weekend of hands-on experience, solving actual problems under intense pressure, teaches you also the magic of peer-to-peer learning: it's not about having the answers, it's about being brave enough to ask questions, even when you're way out of your comfort zone.
