So proud of all the DNOA alumni taking part in this show with Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century! Michael, Peter, Hannah and Benjamin (conductor!) all made their way through the DNOA, and Hannah even sang this show while studying here 😍

If you're in the area on Sunday, don't miss this show at Musikfest Bremen!

Recently graduated tenor, Salvador Simão didn’t even take the summer off before diving into the 2026/2027 season! 🤯

We’re so proud that he will be making his Innsbruck Festival debut in the role of Aminta in Händel’s, Atalanta. In 2025, Salvador was the 1st prize winner of the Cesti Competition at the Festival, and we’re sure he’ll make us incredibly proud once again!

Toi toi toi Salvador!

Given that tenor Salvador Simão is off to the Vienna State Opera, we’re guessing it won’t be the last time he will render an audience member speechless 😍

The FULL masterclass given by Pietro Spagnoli in November 2025 can now be found on the DNOA YouTube channel via our link in bio!

Salvador sings “Fatto inferno…Pastorello d’un povero armento” from Händel’s Rodelinda with Peter Nilsson on piano.

Three years after performing in Haydn’s L’isola disabitata, since graduating from the Dutch National Opera Academy, mezzo-soprano Maria Warenberg graces bigger and bigger stages!

Tonight she performs a solo recital in the Recital Hall of the esteemed and on August 22, 2026, she will perform in one of the Netherlands most anticipated concerts of the year: the Prinsengrachtconcert!

Toi toi toi Maria for tonight and every night! You make everyone at the DNOA very proud 😄

From rushing to rehearsal, making sure everything is memorized, thinking ahead to next year, staying hydrated, and remembering to eat enough every day, the weeks and months at the DNOA can go by really fast!

But sometimes we get to slow down and look back on everything we’ve achieved, the moments we shared outside of rehearsal, (even the annoyingly long commutes we had each day) that stick in our heads for years to come. The moments that take the DNOA from an opera academy to a home away from home. 👐🏼

We’re proud to see our singers inspire one another every day, growing not only as artists but as people, building friendships that will last them a lifetime and ensuring familiar faces wherever they go 😊

We may have traded in our costumes for cocktails for the summer break, but we’re still thinking about our furry little friends.🐾
Even after four performances, we still can’t decide which costume is our favourite. So we’re leaving the decision to you! Which one gets your vote? One look at Maartje Prins’ beautiful costumes from The Cunning Little Vixen, and we’re right back in their colourful world.🦊
Pick your favourite look and let us know!👇
