Welcome the new academic year with us next Monday, September 7th at Sarphati Park for our first event back from summer - a picnic! First years, this is for you - come join us and meet your fellow coursemates, make new friends, debate books and their adaptations, ask any study-related questions you might have, etc (😉). Whatever you choose to do, we’ll provide some cute icebreaker questions, and of course, snacks and drinks 🧺

P.S., everyone is welcome, whether you’re a 2nd or 3rd year in the English BA, or a friend from another course :) we look forward to seeing all of you!

Have you wanted to give a Board year a try? This is your chance! Etcetera's Board traditionally consists of 5 positions: Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Commissary of Internal Affairs and Commissary of External Affairs.

_What is expected of me?_
- Being able to work well collaboratively
- Motivation!

_What do I get out of this?_
- A year of fun and experience only possible in your university years
- Essential skills such as collaboration, administration, leadership, initiative taking and management, which are all useful in workplace environments
