Discover how everyday sounds can become unique musical material as this beginner-friendly masterclass explores how field recordings and Foley sounds can be captured, edited and transformed into rhythms, textures and instruments. Through expert insights and creative demonstrations, attendees will learn to hear their surroundings differently and find inspiration beyond conventional sound libraries.

Join us for a hands-on workshop with Francesco Rubin, who will guide you through the process of recording foley to make a scene come to life 🌱

Francesco Rubin is a recording and mixing engineer bringing nearly a decade of experience across music, film, and live audio productions.
His career highlights include working on the sound design of Bad Slippers, contributing to recordings at Wisseloord Studio, and much more!

In this workshop, participants will take the chair of a Foley Artist performing sounds for different video clips. You will experience the wonders of how diverse objects will create a believable sound image when taken out from their ordinary environment.
