Lunch Lecture with Leo Freriks of Siemens – Scaling Hydrogen Production, A Story of the Hare and the Tortoise

Join us for a lunch lecture on scaling green hydrogen production and the choices that come with it. Do you move fast, like the hare, to capture the market? Or do you move more carefully, like the tortoise, to make sure the technology is mature?

The lecture will explore how to strike the right balance between opportunity and risk, between cutting-edge and proven technology, and how to find profitable business models for customers.

It will also touch on how the current geopolitical situation may speed up or slow down green hydrogen developments — and cover the questions you were afraid to ask about green hydrogen production.

📅 Date: Wednesday 10th June

🕧 Time: 12:30 – 13:30

📍 Location: Wim Crouwel Hall at IDE

🥪 Free Lunch Included!

Wrapping up two inspiring days at the Lisbon Future Dialogue ⚡️

Energy Club Delft attended a packed programme on the future of renewable energy, with high-level panels featuring leaders such as Portugal’s Minister of Environment and Energy, the Mayor of Lisbon, the Global Renewables Alliance, GWEC and APREN.

Across the two days, sessions explored policy, innovation, technology, AI, energy narratives and future-proof leadership, bringing together actors from across the energy sector.

The programme also highlighted youth and intergenerational leadership, with organisations such as EYEN, YOUNGO, and Student Energy.

To close the programme, we visited the Serra da Capucha Wind Park with Finerge Group, offering a concrete look at renewable energy in practice.

Stay tuned for more insights, stakeholder interviews and key takeaways from Lisbon☀️. .energy .pt
