Sustainable Innovation TUDelft Sustainable Innovation TUDelft originates from the $10.000 DOW Sisca student sustainability competition. The edition of 2015 has started!

We are looking for solutions that can make a significant contribution to the sustainabiilty transition worldwide. The goal of the DOW Sustainability Innovation Student Challenge Award or SISCA Competition is to gather sustainable ideas. The ideas can only be submitted by (recently graduated) students or PhD’s of the TU Delft. First prize is $10,000, the runner up gets $2,500. The competition is ho

sted by the TU Delft. Applications can be sent to [email protected] until the 26th of April. We are looking for solutions that can make a significant contribution to the sustainability transition worldwide. The goal of the SISCA Competition is to gather these sustainable ideas and support them in their development. The submission should address an idea which can potentially create an impact in the next 5 to 10 years. Preferably put forward from an interdisciplinary context. Showing the knowledge on which the TU Delft can grow in the future. The criteria are as follows for the first idea submissions (at least):
• A brief description (500 words) of your concept / product / idea. The description should be both in writing as well as supported by (reference) images. If already more detailed information is available it can also be included in the submission.
• Your submission addresses a topic that could contribute to the development of (a sustainable) society in the next 5 to 10 years.
• Submissions can be done both by individual students / PhD’s as well as teams of students and/or PhD's.
• The whole application should be no more than two A4. Input from all faculties is desirable, thus leaving a wide bandwidth in the interpretation of the assignment to the competitors. ONLY FOUR DAYS LEFT - APPLY NOW! (5 ECTS)
Create an interactive installation that motivates people to become more sustainable. DESIGN, BUILD and TEST the installation over the course of two festivals and together with an interdisciplinary team of students from The Netherlands and France (all travel expenses will be covered).

The exchange project ‘Circular storytelling’ is part of the course ‘WM0944 Sustainable innovation into Practice’ (5ECTS) which also counts as an elective for the annotation TISD (cluster B).
