Bouwkunde Bedrijvendagen is an annual recurring career event organized by Built Environment students from the Technical University of Eindhoven.

During this event, both bachelor and master's students can directly and informally acquaint themselves with companies in the building sector. Bouwkunde Bedrijvendagen provides students with insight into their future career opportunities and the opportunity to get acquainted with the practice. Develop your professional and practical skills during the masterclasses, get to know a company better, and

put your knowledge into practice by participating in the cases, make your talent known to your future employer during the 1-on-1 interviews and join and expand your network on the career market! In other words; Are you looking for a (graduate) internship or job, do you want to know more about the possibilities after your studies and upgrade your network? From the Kick-Off Lecture to the final conversations at the Company Dinner, what a journey it’s been. Over the past weeks, we’ve seen students and companies connect, explore opportunities, and take real steps towards their future.

With a full program of interviews, workshops, lectures, discussions, and networking moments, this 25th edition truly brought “Your Blueprint for Tomorrow” to life.

Thank you all for taking part in the October Events of the Bouwkunde Bedrijvendagen! The events were a great success because you were there with us, giving that first step towards your blueprint for tomorrow!

LAST EVENT THIS YEAR: THE COMPANY DINNER!

The Company Dinner will be the last event of this year’s edition and will take place on Wednesday the 11th of October, from 18:00 until 22:00, at restaurant BUNKR.

During this event, a semi-formal atmosphere is created in which students get the chance to talk to companies in a casual manner. The Company Dinner will consist of 4 rounds. After each round, the students will switch tables and thus companies, so you get a chance to talk to different experts of the Built Environment.

The Masterclasses will take place from 9:00 till 12:30 in allocated spaces in Vertigo, and will be given by KOW Architecten and Evoke.

The KOW Architecten have prepared for you a masterclass about architectural portfolios. This masterclass will enhance your knowledge and skills about how to structure a convincing portfolio, how to create a good template, or which drawings and features are important to consider. KOW Architecten as a firm with experience in the field will also provide some tips and tricks, do’s and don’ts so your portfolio can bring out your best qualities.
Evoke is providing two masterclasses. One is focused on preparing for the job interview process, with tips and tricks, and information about the current job market within the built environment. The other is oriented towards presenting yourself professionally, including improving your CV and LinkedIn profile.

The discussion! 🗣

On Tuesday the 10th of October from 19:30 till 21:00 the discussion will take place at ‘LAB1’ at the Keizersgracht 19, Eindhoven, with the theme; “Rebuilding war-torn cities”. In collaboration with Studium Generale, this discussion brings three experts together to discuss and share their views and experiences on rebuilding war-torn cities, with a particular focus on the situation in Ukraine.
You can receive a Studium Generale point for joining this activity.

The following speakers will be present at the discussion:
- Fulco Treffers, an urban planner, architect, and project manager at 12N Urban Matters. He is the co-founder of Ro3kvit, an urban coalition for Ukraine. Through design and research, Ro3Kvit addresses urgent needs raised by stakeholders and links them to future reconstruction strategies.
- Paul Groenendijk, a researcher and publicist. He has written extensively on the reconstruction of Rotterdam, its ideas and struggles, and comparisons with other cities such as Eindhoven, Dresden, and new cities in the making. His books include Rotterdam Wederopbouwstad and the Eindhoven Architecture Guide.
- Oleksandra Tkachenko, an urban planner at Kuiper Compagnos, as founder of the Ukraine – Netherlands Urban Network.

Lunch lecture!

On Tuesday 11 October from 12:40 to 13:20 a lecture by Amvest will be held in the Trappenzaal.

The 1-on-1 interviews will take place on Wednesday the 4th of October from 8:45 till 12:30.

This is your moment to get a more formal, private talk with the representatives of a company of your interest. Every interview will last 15 minutes in which you can present yourself and ask all the questions you want to the companies. It could possibly be your first contact moment with your future employer!

For the 1-on-1 interviews you can choose between 20 participating companies. You are able to subscribe to as many companies as you want, however, due to limited capacity and to provide everyone equal chances, the companies will select and invite students for an interview based on the number of registrations and the CV’s that students have sent. You will upload your CV to your profile within the registration portal, in which you can also subscribe to your preferred companies for the interviews.
