The unit BPS belongs to the department of the Built Environment of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), and covers a wide range of interdisciplinary research topics connected to building physics, materials and services. The aim is to gain knowledge and develop design methods that lead to a sustainable, healthy and comfortable indoor and outdoor environment. The focus of attention is on physi

cal aspects and processes such as heat and mass transfer in constructions, indoor air quality, lighting, acoustics, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning. A holistic approach to the building construction and building services is considered essential.The main research topics are Acoustics, Building Services, Heat & Moisture Transfer, Indoor Environment Design, Lighting, Materials and Urban Physics.
