✨ What an amazing first few days of the new school year! ✨

We’ve only just started, and already there’s been so much energy and excitement happening across our school!

Wolfie was there to welcome all our new and returning Primary International students on their very first day back, starting the year with big smiles! Meanwhile, Buddy introduced our Dutch Bilingual Department students to the new IB Learner Profile, helping everyone get ready to grow, learn and thrive together. And of course, we cannot forget all the fun and creativity of Happy Honey Bee Week! 🐝💛

Yesterday, our Secondary Department MP1–5 Kick-Off Day got our MYP students ready for the exciting projects ahead, including the Personal Project! We wish our DP1 students an amazing time at Challenge Camp this week, and our graduating DP2 class all the best as they begin their final year of the IB Diploma Programme! 🎓✨

Last week, our MP5 students took on the challenge of Sailing Camp at Balk in Friesland, building confidence and resilience, working as a team, and making unforgettable memories together.

Today, we celebrated their incredible achievements throughout their MYP journey. We are so proud of everything they have accomplished and the growth they have shown. Congratulations, MP5!

Great news from our Primary Dutch Bilingual Department!

We are proud to announce that the International School Eindhoven Dutch Bilingual Department is now a Candidate School* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP)!

This is an exciting milestone as we work towards becoming a continuum IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy, a commitment to high-quality, challenging, and international education that we believe is important for our students.

The IB Primary Years Programme encourages students to become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who recognize that people with different perspectives can also be right. With a strong focus on the holistic development of every student, we are excited to continue nurturing curious minds, confident communicators, and responsible global citizens.

This is an exciting milestone in our journey, and we look forward to sharing more updates with our community!

We are incredibly proud to announce that the ISE Robotics Club Team Franckenstein has qualified for the World Robot Olympiad Open Championship after earning 2nd place nationally in the Senior Robot Mission category.

Their journey began at our own school, with a 1st place finish at the regional finals, before taking on the country's best teams at the national championship.

This year, the WRO introduced a demanding surprise challenge where teams had just 5 minutes to adapt their robot and completely rewrite their code to solve an unexpected mission. Team Franckenstein rose to the challenge and has earned an impressive 2nd place nationally, securing their place on the international stage.

🌍 Next stop: Zagreb, Croatia!
From 13–16 October 2026, they will compete against teams from around the world at the Croatian Open Championship.

How do we know what we know? 🤔

As part of the IB Diploma Programme, our DP1 students showcased and shared their learning at the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Exhibition last Monday.

TOK is an interdisciplinary unit that encourages diploma students to question the nature of knowledge itself. Rather than focusing only on what is true, students explore how we come to know what we claim to know.

By exploring different perspectives and ways of knowing, students learn to recognize the importance of acting responsibly in an increasingly interconnected world. Developing the habit of asking "How do we know?" equips them with the critical thinking skills needed for their future.
