Master Journalism at University of Groningen Are you passionate about news and do you want to report and analyze current affairs? Do you want to know why good journalism is essential in society?

The Master's degree in Media Studies offers two complete masterprogrammes, one internationally orientated English-taught programme, and a Dutch-taught programme. Both programmes train you to become a professional reporter and teach you to critically reflect on the nature of journalism. You will develop both practical skills and in-depth academic knowledge. The theoretical study of journalism makes

this programme special. You will learn to reflect on the nature of journalism as a profession, the future of news reporting and your own position as a professional reporter. Eventually you will write a Master's thesis based on these theoretical reflections.
