A short (and late) recap of Betastuf activities in 1a! Board games, borrel boat, and meeting the FSE associations, the beginning of the academic year was filled with great fun and greater company.
A special thank you to for making an incredible evening, full of unforgettable memories on the canals of Groningen, possible. The event and the connections made between the students representatives would not have been as fun and memorable as it was without your help!

And best of all, it’s FREE!

To warm up, we’ll start the week before with a round of Pool of Assassins 👀🔫If you want to join the borrelboat on Sunday and have unlimited drinks, that’s possible for 20 euros.
It will also be a fun weekend for old board members and kandi’s to bond!

The treasurer of Bètastuf is the person that keeps track of finances. The budget of Bètastuf, that gets spent on trainings, meetings, drinks and the summer weekend, needs looking after. Invoices, receipts, having a debit card, the whole deal. The general board tasks have to be divided up, so you can for example focus on organising the summer weekend, like I'm doing this year. Other than that, the treasurer is also the person trying to make sure other student representatives get their grants. This, together with handing out the coins at the drinks, makes treasurer a very social position in the board of Bètastuf, maybe contrary to other boards.

It is a very rewarding function where you get to work together with people from all over the university. You get to see some of the inner workings of the faculty, with a small workload of about 5 hours per week. If you are interested in being the treasurer of the 33rd Board of Bètastuf, please prepare a CV and a short motivational letter and send them to

Since yesterday, the applications for the 33rd board of Bètastuf are opened. This means you can apply, but obviously need to know more about the wonderful function of secretary before you do so, so here you go:

The function of secretary at the Board of Bètastuf means that you are responsible for the general mail correspondence, that you are the one writing the minutes in the public meetings that take place every six weeks, but also in your own board meetings, every two or three weeks. In addition to that, you do your share the general Board tasks as well, for example helping out with organizing or attending the soft skill courses.
Being in charge of the contact mail means you are the one responding to a lot of incoming mail about the courses, attendance of the courses and attendance of the general Bètastuf meetings. You therefore are in charge of the agenda as well, so you can make sure that your board won’t miss a single appointment or consti during the year. You are also the administrator of the Bètastuf email address groups, so you make sure they are updated, so everybody gets the information they need to have.

As a secretary of Bètastuf, you spend around five hours a week on your tasks. You meet a lot of new people and get a chance to improve your organizing skills in a semiprofessional setting. If you are interested in being the secretary of the 33rd Board of Bètastuf, please prepare a CV and a short motivational letter and send them to

As the applications for the 33rd Board of Bètastuf (BoB) open on the 10th of June, we would like to introduce you this week to another function: Chairman.

Being Chairman of Bètastuf makes you primary responsible for what the organizations offers. Roughly, the board organizes every six weeks a formal Bètastuf meeting. These meetings are led by the Chairman and enable different student organizations to meet and discuss faculty matters. Besides the meetings, various soft skill trainings are organized for Study Association boards, Program Committee members and Faculty Council. As Chairman, you are responsible for arranging these trainings. Finally, the Bètastuf Summer weekend has to be organized in the end of the academic year, which is done by the entire board. The purpose of this weekend is to introduce new student representatives and board to each other.
Being the Chairman of Bètastuf gives you the ability to offer support to other student representatives in the faculty. Additionally, it gives you a great opportunity to meet a lot of new people within the FSE. The workload is approximately 5 hours per week and you will receive a board grant in return.

If you are interested in being the Chairman of the 33rd Board of Bètastuf, please prepare a short motivational letter and CV. Contact details will follow, as the application will open next week.
