❗️ LIVEBLOG CORONAVIRUS ❗️
14 April 2021 [13:00]
🔸️ Yesterday, the government announced that the corona measures will not change.
🔸️ For higher education, it is likely that more in-person education will be made possible for students starting April 26. This is subject to change, as it can only be the case if the infection rates allow it. Next week, on Tuesday 20 April, the government will decide whether higher education can be opened further.
🔸️ Our programmes are in the midst of preparing for this situation, where students would attend in-person education for approximately one day a week. Appropriate safety measures will be taken to ensure that, in case in-person education will be offered, this will be done in a safe manner.
🔸️ We always try to take the personal situations of our students into account, and will actively look for solutions with you in case attending in-person lectures poses any difficulties, for example because you are currently located abroad. If you have any questions about this matter, please get in touch with your study programme.
11 March 2021 [13:00]
On Monday, the government announced possible relaxations of the corona measures for higher education from 29 March. We are pleased to hear this. Whether relaxations will indeed be possible will depend on whether the number of infections will decrease. If so, this would mean that more on-site teaching would be possible from the end of March. We are busy preparing for this new situation and you will receive a message from your study programme as soon as they know more.
What is already possible at this point?
🔸 Study places at Hanze and Oosterpoort for students who are unable to study or follow online classes at home. There are 230 quiet places on the Zernike Campus, at Wiebenga, at the Oosterpoort and hopefully soon again in the Forum. Reserve a study place via Webroombooking or visit hanze.nl/workplaces for more information.
🔸 Meet other students: get in touch with another Hanze student and study together, have a cup of coffee or for some other activity. Sign up here: hanze.nl/meetup
