Last year, we had the exciting opportunity to create an elephant costume for the Vienna Vikings' amateur team, and for the professionals in the ELF, we brought their fierce wolf mascot to life! 🐺 This Saturday, our project manager Darius attended the semifinal match in Vienna, where he proudly snapped a photo with our creation—after waiting in line with all the kids, of course! What Are You Using Your Mascot For? Read about a Dutch company's initiative: Welstad’s Bob is Here to Get Kids Moving!

Welstad has a fun new strategy to get children in Stadskanaal (the Netherlands) active and engaged: meet Bob, their nearly two-meter-tall cat mascot! Recently, Bob made quite an entrance at the town hall, registering as a new resident with his very own specially-made ID card.

Why a mascot, you ask? According to Tristan Rotman, a community worker at Welstad, mascots are incredibly popular with kids. “We brought Bob to a famous event in Stadskanaal, and the children immediately flocked to him for high-fives,” he shared.

So, what’s the plan for Bob? Welstad aims to use him to connect with children in a playful and memorable way, encouraging them to be more active. Bob isn’t just a mascot; he’s a fun ambassador for fitness and community spirit.

Now officially a resident of Stadskanaal, Bob will be a regular at local events, spreading joy and promoting physical activity to kids and adults alike. Keep an eye out for Bob at the next event and join in the fun!

1. How were you using your stress balls?
"Mainly, our stress balls are used by recruiters as giveaways at career fairs."

2. Were you satisfied with the stress balls? The design, the final product, and working with Promo Bears?
"Yes – the process was good. As a first time dealing with Promo Bears on such a unique project, it felt like a bit of a leap of faith but all was fine.

3. Did the stress balls in use have an observable/measurable positive impact on your business? If so, feel free to let us know how."
"They are appreciated and help drive attention to our booth when we appear at career fairs. They give our recruiters an icebreaker in talking to prospective employees. And within the company, people love them."

4. Could you provide a short statement about your experience working with Promo Bears and the stress balls?
"We had been talking about some kind of custom stress ball that would suit our business for a long time but couldn’t quite figure it out or find a producer. When we connected with Promo Bears, they helped walk us through the process to create something special and unique to us."
