Dear (Applied) Physics student,
For the coming year there is a vacancy for the position of student member of the Programme Committee (Applied) Physics. We are primarily looking for someone who will be a Master student next year (after the summer). However, particularly enthusiastic bachelor students are welcome to apply. Do you want to contribute to the quality and the curriculum of your study? Can you miss a few hours a month to add your contribution to improving the (Applied) Physics study programme? Then read on to find out more!
To make sure that our Physics study stays qualitatively good and aims to become even better, it is very important that students are involved in the planning and evaluation of the courses. This can be done by the students who become members of the Programme Committee (PC).
This PC meets about once every month to discuss the possibilities to improve the study and give advice to the faculty board. An example of the topics that are discussed in these meetings are: problems with running courses, improvement of past courses, course evaluations and the curriculum.
Examples of subjects that are being discussed at the moment are the way courses are evaluated and the problems and future possibilities of the study (Applied) Physics. For these changes and developments we need your vision and opinion as a student!
The Programme Committee consists of six students and six teachers. The students are appointed annually at the start of the college year. For now this means that we are looking for new, enthusiastic students.
Do you want to represent your fellow Physics students in the PC? Sign up ultimately on Sunday the 14th of June by sending an e-mail to the address at the end of this message. You will then be invited to an application interview. Alternatively you can find us via the 'Organizations' tab in Nestor.
Of course there is a financial compensation for the people that take place in the PC.
For more information you can send an e-mail or contact the PC through Nestor or FaceBook as mentioned.
With kind regards,
On behalf of the Programme Committee,
Arsalan Torke Ghashghaee
