Are you prone to enjoy a nice glass of wine and is it something you would like to learn more about? We have several wine tastings planned throughout the year, as well as other fun activities and get-togethers! One of our yearly highlights is the amazing wine trip! During this wine trip you get to enjoy nice wines for a week long in some of Europe's amazing wine regions! Our motto is "Everything is

allowed, nothing is obliged" which has been our successful way of operating for over 15 years! We're not just an association so you can learn more about wine, but also so you can meet people and form life long friendships! Send an email to

SOMP PRE-GAME RECAP 🍻
Last Tuesday, we kicked off the module the only way Dionysus knows how: loud, chaotic, and with a lot of drinks involved. 
From football jerseys to vintage kits and the brightest colours in the room, Shooter’s turned into one big rivalry for the night. Questionable football opinions were shared, DJ Pante once again brought the energy, and somehow the chaos only grew as the evening went on. 
Some called it a night after the pre-game… others somehow made it all the way through till the morning. 
Thank you to everyone who showed up and made this another memorable Start of the Module Party. 🍇✨

SOMP PRE-GAME 🍻🍹

The module starts… and so does the chaos.

On Monday, May 12th, we’re taking over Shooter’s for our 4th Start of the Module Party: PRE-GAME.

From 22:00 till 00:00, the floor is ours. DJ Pante is back behind the decks, the drinks will flow, the jerseys will clash, and before the night is over… rivalries might just be created.

Dress code: Jerseys. Colours. Rivalry.

Rep the club you support, your country, or show up in your brightest colours. We want football shirts, vintage jerseys, oversized kits, and full match-day energy all night long.

From Tradition to Tank 🍷

On April 21st, we took a deeper dive into the world behind the bottle during our Tasting ‘From Tradition to Tank: Winemaking Methods Explained’.

Together, we explored how different vinification methods shape the wines we taste — from traditional techniques to modern approaches in tank. From fresh whites to structured reds and even sweet wines, each method brought its own character to the glass.

An evening full of insight, discussion, and a better understanding of what really happens before the wine reaches your glass.

Northern Rhône with Allard Riedstra 🍷
On April 14th, we’re welcoming Allard Riedstra to the Wine Room for an exclusive tasting focused on the Northern Rhône.

With experience at Michelin-starred restaurants Bij JEF and Herberg Onder den Linden, and now Head Sommelier at in Groningen, Allard brings serious knowledge, and a great story to tell.

Powerful Syrahs. Elegant whites. One of France’s most characterful regions, guided by someone who truly knows it inside out.

This is one for those who want to dive a little deeper.

Weingut Borgwardt Recap 🇩🇪🍷
Last Tuesday, we welcomed Weingut Borgwardt back to the Wine Room, and once again, it was a great evening.
We tasted through their wines, learned more about the region, the questions kept coming and we had a taste of what’s ahead.. A big thank you to Weingut Borgwardt for returning and hosting another fantastic tasting with us.

Borgwardt Wines Tasting 🇩🇪🍷
On March 31, we’re excited to welcome back Weingut Borgwardt, a winery located in Krefeld, Germany, to the Wine Room.

During this tasting, you’ll be introduced to their carefully selected line-up and the story behind the wines. Expect characterful bottles, insight into German winemaking, and the opportunity to hear directly from the producer. 
With our Wine Trip to Mosel & Rheinhessen just around the corner, this is the perfect way to already immerse yourself in German wine culture and get a taste of what’s ahead.

Last Tuesday, March 17th, we had the pleasure of hosting our Slovenian Wine Tasting and it truly was a refreshing and special evening.

During the tasting, we explored around eight wines together: mostly crisp, vibrant whites, a surprisingly characterful orange wine (yes, that one definitely sparked some opinions 👀), and a light red to round it all off.

Putting this tasting together and sharing these wines with you reminded us exactly why we love organizing these evenings. Seeing everyone so engaged, curious, and open to discovering something new — especially from a country that’s still a bit underrated in the wine world — made it extra meaningful. Slovenia may be small, but it left quite an impression in the Wine Room.

A big thank you to Utrecht Twijnstraat, for providing the wines and helping us bring this line-up to life.

We’re already looking forward to the next tasting — and even more excited to welcome our upcoming guest speaker. Stay tuned. 🍇✨

Tasting Slovenian Wines 🇸🇮🍷
On March 17, we’re exploring the wines of Slovenia — one of Europe’s most exciting and still underrated wine countries.
Hosted by our board, this tasting will mainly feature fresh, elegant white wines, alongside a carefully selected line-up showcasing the diversity of Slovenian terroir and grape varieties.

Wine Trip 2026 | Reveal Tasting Recap 🇩🇪🍇
The secret’s out! We’re heading to Mosel & Rheinhessen from April 25th until May 2nd.

But let’s be honest… the reveal was anything but calm. Guesses were flying across the room. Norway? Italy? Somewhere completely unexpected? The theories got serious. And then, just when Norway started gaining confidence, the final act unfolded — Germany stole the show.

Rolling vineyards along the Mosel river, steep hillsides filled with Riesling, charming German towns, and a full week together discovering what these regions have to offer.

At the Reveal Tasting, the destination, accommodation, and all details finally came together and the energy in the room said enough: this year’s Wine Trip is going to be unforgettable.
