Hoi allemaal :) Ik hoop dat jullie je geen zorgen maken over statistiek? Mocht het antwoord ‘Jawel…’ luiden, dan heb ik goed nieuws: je zorgen zijn officieel VOORBIJ! Na twee jaar experimenteren, ervaring en creativiteit sta ik eindelijk op het punt het onderwijsproject te lanceren waarvan ik gedroomd heb. Jullie danken dit aan alle studenten in Maastrich

t die tot nu toe heb mogen lesgeven, hen helpend zich te ontwikkelen tot statistiekninja’s. Ik nodig jullie hierbij uit in hun voetsporen te treden en de volgende stap te zetten. Wie doet er mee? :)
Mijn aanpak van kraakheldere en complete uitleg met een knipoog is nu bijna vertaald naar beeld en papier. Spoedig zullen Nederlandse studenten beschikken over een handboek EN een website met video’s, beide in hun moedertaal, en beide met levendige opdrachten die hun nieuwe vaardigheden op de proef stellen. Doe je een universitaire bachelor in Psychologie, dan is de kans groot dat ik je alles kan leren wat je weten moet. Natuurlijk gaan we proberen om in elk geval de video’s online te zetten VOOR je eerste tentamen! Kortom: wil je de statistiekrevolutie niet aan je laten voorbijgaan, like dan onze pagina om op de hoogte te blijven. Over een paar weken zul je achtbanen testen, bananen tellen, snorren meten en nog veel meer. Nog even en je wordt een piraat! Groeten,

Hey everyone :) I hope you’re not worried about statistics? In case you are, I have good news: your worries are officially OVER! After two years of experimenting, experiencing and being creative, I’m finally about to launch the educational project I’ve dreamt of giving you guys. You owe this to all the students in Maastricht that I had the honour of teaching so far, helping them grow into statistics ninjas. I hereby invite you to follow in their footsteps and take things to the next level. Will you join me? :)
My approach of fun, transparent and complete explanations is now nearly translated onto image and paper. Soon, Dutch students will have access to a handbook AND a website with videos, both in their native language, and both featuring vibrant exercises that put their newfound skills to the test. So what if you only speak English? We didn’t want to keep you all waiting for another year, and came up with a neat solution: the introductory chapters will be on English video this Fall, and their exercises will be on the internet. This means that if you’re a first-year student, there's a good chance you'll be completely accommodated. Of course, we’re going to try our best to get everything online BEFORE your first exam! In short: if you don’t want to miss out on the statistics revolution, like our page to stay updated. A few weeks from now you’ll be testing rollercoasters, counting bananas, measuring moustaches and much more. Still think you’re a peach in statistics? You’re about to become a pirate!

Liefde op het eerste gezicht: Statistiek in Stijl 1 is gearriveerd!
Eindelijk staat dit boek klaar om het stokje over te nemen van Piraten, perziken en p-waarden, onze eerste creatie waar het zes jaar geleden allemaal mee begon. Dankzij jullie, die ontelbare studenten die mijn werk vanaf het eerste uur hebben gesteund. Het is een voorrecht om statistiek makkelijker en leuk te mogen maken.

We sold our 2000th copy of Pirates, Peaches and P-values - and we are SO happy, proud and grateful!
Who did this? YOU did this!
In the midst of a pandemic, your word of mouth kept us alive and even pushed PPP to a new milestone. Many small companies can only dream of such incredible support. It has been, and continues to be, an honour to make statistics easier and your online education more bearable. The next books, in collaboration with Noordhoff, are around the corner!

As a writer and teacher with such loyal fans, I consider myself very lucky. At the same time, I am thinking of all those restaurant owners, retailers, artists and others who are currently unable to make a living by doing what they love. I wish you all the strength to hold on just a little longer!

Made the deadline by a wide margin! The first version of the Noordhoff manuscript is finished. With a new Incan example, among other things (my sister Chelsy has made a beautiful illustration once again). Step two for the summer: editing and visuals! :D
