Research Master at SBE

Research Master at SBE SBE provides high-quality education to students, conducts excellent research, and offers an international perspective in both education and research.

A research master’s programme takes two years and consists of coursework, which will provide you with up-to-the-minute knowledge of your chosen research field and of research methods. Small-scale teaching methods supported by an electronic learning environment, a portfolio of international study programmes, and strong incentives for top-quality research are the main instruments in the fulfillment

of this mission. Emphasis on educational innovation is driving the learning philosophy of SBE. All degree programmes are based on problem-based learning, with a strong emphasis on the development of problem-solving skills, group-work skills, and self-directed learning skills. The emphasis on skills development prepares students optimally for the needs of the European knowledge society.

“You were the 500th PhD Candidate at SBE to defend their thesis, how do you look back on this day?”
"Four years of hard work with many memorable moments, ups and downs, translated into a day of festivities. For me, a day I will always remember. The build-up, the promotional ceremony, reception, dinner, and party at the Lumière, it all came together culminating in one big day. Of course, to get there I had to give up on certain things (understatement :) ) but it was all worth it in the end. My suggestion for young PhDs is: work hard but don't forget the social aspects. Moreover, keep your goal in mind and when you really want something, you can do anything.”
