A look back at our Event project for block 4.1!

As part of a graded project, Martina, Yeva and Guus collaborated with Dress for Success Maastricht to organise a two-day Pop-Up Store at Zuyd. 📍

Our aim was to introduce more students to the organisation and its mission of supporting people towards employment and economic independence through professional clothing, styling advice and personal support.

The event offered affordable professional clothing, gala wear and free colour analysis, helping students prepare for internships, job interviews and other professional opportunities. 👗👔

A valuable opportunity to put our event management skills into practice while working with an organisation making a difference in our community.

How can organisations become more sustainable? 🌱

In this project, our students develop evidence-based sustainability policy advice for a real-life client. Working as policy advisors, they research challenges, analyse data, and propose practical solutions in key policy areas such as diversity, waste, food, mobility, and energy.

By combining research with real-world experience, they build the skills needed to make a meaningful impact beyond the classroom.

In this third episode of Maastricht Talks Europe, Meltem Burak speaks with Job Zomerplaag, a PhD researcher and Programme Editor affiliated with Studio Europa Maastricht (SEM), Maastricht University (UM), and United Nations University–MERIT (UNU-MERIT). Together, they discuss recent developments in participatory democracy and reflect on the evolving role of citizens as proactive participants in decision-making processes.
