The EduBite of this week explores a question many tutors recognise: how can we encourage students to engage with course evaluations?

When students understand why feedback matters and what changes come from it, they are often more willing to participate.

Two simple tips that can help:

📩 Explain how feedback will be used
💡 Show how previous evaluations led to course changes

When students see their feedback matters, participation increases.

AI is changing education fast… but how can we redesign courses without losing meaningful learning? 🗣️

Here are 3 key things every educator should consider when designing courses in the age of AI:

🔸 Set clear AI expectations
Make it transparent when and how students can use AI tools.

🔸 Create a strong learning environment
Encourage academic integrity and connect activities to your Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs).

🔸 Design meaningful assessments
Focus on authentic assignments that stimulate creativity, reflection and critical thinking.

Because while AI may change how students learn, strong pedagogy remains at the heart of education 💡
