Dionyx is the LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual/aromantic & others) youth and student organisation of Maastricht & Limburg. We organise events to bring open-minded students together and to make the LGBT topic more open to society. Our events vary from monthly theme parties to social activities e.g. movie nights, getaways and debates. Our goal is to
offer a place where students can feel at home but also where they can socialize and interact with other open-minded people. Our organisation is part of COC Limburg as a working group. COC Limburg is the general LGBT organisation of Limburg. In 2015 a group of students noticed that there was a need for more social activities for the LGBT+ people in Maastricht and Limburg, we started making some drafts which have now become reality! Our organisation is a new concept since January 2016. It was established by students from Maastricht University, Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and young volunteers from COC Limburg.
