Poor reporting of imaging methodology and image analysis approach can also make the quality of your research questionable! The objectives’ characteristics or the voxel size is not an unnecessary detail in your Materials and Methods. It a valuable piece of information that can help the scientific community to reproduce your research.

The poor reporting of imaging methods in the scientific literature is hindering the evaluation and replication of biomedical research.

Interference Reflection Microscopy (IRM)(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interference_reflection_microscopy) using our Leica SP8-AOBS-WLL confocal microscope. An easy way to visualise and measure cell membrane proximity to substrate. The diagram shows how the high intensity of vinculin proteins co-localize with the low intensities of the IRM signal in focal adhesions of mesenchymal stem cells.
