And it's a wrap!
Last week we finished the 11th Enterprise Engineering Working Conference (EEWC; https://ciaonetwork.org/events/11th-enterprise-engineering-working-conference-eewc-2021). The programme involved an interesting mix between the theory and practice of Enterprise Engineering; rigour and relevance.
Organising a working conference during the Covid-years is a major challenge. Nevertheless, there were several in depth discussions during the dedicated discussion sessions, where we reflected on the papers, as well as general challenges we see for the further development of the discipline.
Also a special thanks to the two keynore speakers Dominik Bork from TUWien, and Vinay Kulkarni from TCS. Both keynotes discussed different challenges and opportunities for the combination of AI and EE.
During this year's conference, we also formalised the important decision to integrate the CIAO! network (https://ciaonetwork.org), the Enterprise Engineering Institute (https://ee-institute.org), and the EE-Network.eu (https://www.ee-network.eu) into one integrated network on Enterprise Engineering. Soon, there will be a new website for
the integrated network.
Over the next months, the CIAO! network, the EE-Network.eu, and the EE Institute will join forces to become an integrated network, concerned with the development of theory-based and practice-proven methods, techniques, and tools for enterprise engineering.
