“It was a very impulsive decision to come to The Netherlands: Radboud ended up being the only university I applied to. When I visited the Open Day, the campus looked beautiful. I liked the atmosphere here, and the staff was really helpful with accommodating questions. I was interested in languages, but becoming a translator wasn’t really my thing. I choose to study International Business Communication (IBC) because it lets you specialize in a language, but also views language in a business context.
I don't really do well by focusing only on one thing at a time. Although IBC is a broad study, I wanted to do something more. At first, I thought that doing a second study was crazy, but then decided to give it a try. How I manage doing a double degree? Both studies don’t have as many contact hours, so it’s a lot of self-study and self-discipline.
To relax, I enjoy doing fun things with my flatmates, with whom I share the hallway of SSH& Hoogeveldt. We spend a lot of time together: making marshmallows on the gas stove, decorating our hallway, taking care of plant Jerry. You’re in a little space with so many people and you try to navigate and hang out with each other. I feel like Hoogeveldt is a bunch of clueless people trying to make dinner.”
