🚀 Wil jij de overstap maken naar het primair onderwijs?

De Educatieve Master Primair Onderwijs (EMPO) van de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam start met een nieuw traject: 𝗭𝗶𝗷-𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝗽.

Ben jij in het bezit van een WO-bachelor of WO-master en wil je jouw kennis, ervaring en talent inzetten voor de volgende generatie? Dan biedt dit tweejarige traject jou de mogelijkheid om je om te scholen tot academisch geschoolde leerkracht in het primair onderwijs.

✨ Wat kun je verwachten?
✔️ 2-jarige opleiding
✔️ Start in september óf februari
✔️ 1 dag per week onderwijs aan de EUR
✔️ 1 dag zelfstudie
✔️ 2-3 dagen betaald voor de klas
✔️ Intensieve begeleiding tijdens je opleiding
✔️ Focus op maatschappelijke impact, kansengelijkheid en pedagogisch leiderschap
✔️ Lesbevoegdheid voor het primair onderwijs én een EUR-getuigschrift (43 EC)

Tijdens de opleiding ontwikkel je je tot een toekomstgerichte, pedagogisch sterke en positief-kritische leerkracht die het verschil maakt voor kinderen én de samenleving.

On Thursday 4 June, the ESSB D&I team and the Education Hub for Diversity and Inclusion (EHDI) are bringing together students, educators, researchers, and professionals for the 2026 D&I Conference: Teaching to, with, and for Diversity.

For the first time, students are not just part of the audience, but part of the dialogue — creating space for real exchange between academic perspectives and lived experiences.

Expect inspiring speakers, meaningful conversations, and practical insights on shaping more inclusive learning environments for everyone.

Big things happening for our MISOC students 👏

This year, third-year students from ESSB’s MISOC Bachelor are taking their thesis to the next level, focusing on real-world impact. And we’re proud to collaborate with the NATO Parliamentary Assembly on this exciting initiative.

Last Friday, seven students pitched their first ideas to Dr. Ethan Corbin, Senior Director of the Defence & Security Committee. The result? Valuable, in-depth feedback to help refine and strengthen their research moving forward.

In the coming months, they’ll be working on theses tackling key issues on the parliamentary agenda, guided by Adrià Albareda.

A great example of what happens when academic insight meets real-world practice 💡
