OPEN CALL | SHOW YOUR WORK

For this year’s Open Day campaign, we’re inviting WdKA students, staff and alumni to showcase their creativity by submitting an original design.
Whether you work with digital art, photography, product design, drawing or another medium, we’d love to see your unique creative perspective.

From all submissions, 20 standout designs will be selected and featured on our social media channels and during our Open Days. A selection of the designs will also be displayed throughout Rotterdam.

🟡 HOW DOES IT WORK?
Your work will be incorporated into a fixed poster layout containing only a few essential details. Please submit only your artwork or design as a PNG file—do not format it as a poster.

The colour palette of the final poster will be inspired by your work and determined by our designer during the design process.

ALUMNI WORK | NFF Student Competition

Eight WdKA graduation films have been selected for the NFF Student Competition 2026! From experimental animation and Super 8 film to documentary and poetic storytelling, this year’s selection showcases the diverse voices, ideas and filmmaking practices emerging from WdKA.

Selected films in order of stills: Paradise (Anastasia Goncharova), Overcast (Job Jovanovic), Becoming the Warden (Tijmen Snoep), The Endless Voyage (Suzanne Lub & Rada Skumova), WELP (Abel van Essen), Nothing is Everything (Joris Voeten), Ygara-Apé (Rebeca Cabral de Oliveira), Metamorfose (Jochem van Velzen & Jacob Noordegraaf).

This morning we had the pleasure of welcoming 400+ first years to our academy. We started off the day with an amazing and energetic performance by 𝐗tra 𝐗ceptit, who made sure the vibes were good from the start. Next up was making self portraits together and hanging them through the building as a way to get to know each other and start off the year well!🫶
