Who we are and what we do

Our research team (based at Utrecht University) is dedicated to the study of institutions for collective action in its broadest sense, from both a historical as well as contemporary perspective. It aims to illustrate and investigate how these institutions work, why they exist and when they are most viable (or not). We believe it is essential to look at collective action in its historical context, as this can help us explain current developments. We intend to bring together researchers, social entrepreneurs and other experts on the topic, and share information about interesting events, documentaries or relevant research and datasets. We are part of Utrecht University.
