Wijsgerige Faculteitsvereniging ERA ERA is de faculteitsvereniging van de Faculteit der Wijsbegeerte aan de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam.

Als faculteitsvereniging organiseren we evenementen om studenten dichter bij elkaar te brengen, zoals onze maandelijkse borrel en onze kroegcolleges. Maar ook zorgen wij voor culturele activiteiten zoals een filmavond, een architectuurfietstocht, studiereizen of een poëziebarbecue.

Together we celebrate the start of another academic year at ESPhil. Sign up and join fellow students, faculty staff, and other ERA members, reconnect and take a break of the september rush coupled with a delightful drink! As is tradition, some speeches will be given, and some laughter shared.

The entrance fee is €8 - which you can tranfser to Wijsgerige Faculteitsvereniging ERA, NL20 ABNA 0454631731, after filling out the sign up form in bio. And please write your name in the description of the transfer!

What? Speedfriending & Pubquiz

Whether you are new to ERA, or already know it very well, we all crave connection. And what better to foster this than with ERA’s speedfriending event at Faas! Find your match, make new friends or just simply come by to drink and chat with some new faces :) The event consists of rounds of talking to different people at a time, constantly switching conversation partners with fun prompts. Afterwards, we’ll even host a pubquiz! Who knows what unexpected friendships might find their footing?

With every new academic year comes a new ERA board as well! Next monday, the 32nd board is recapping on the past year, and the 33rd board will look ahead on the coming (lustrum!) year. Next, all ERA members are allowed and encouraged to attend, as they have a vote on the motions of the new board, and can even raise their own motions for improvements on the policy plan. It is the perfect time to voice your opinion on what you would like to see improved, or changed in this association, or share ideas that you have for the association, all accompanied by a b**r from Kaapse Brouwers, and catering provided by the 33rd board!

Confused about your studies, where to go for help, or who to turn to for fun? Come get to know ERA and ESPhil (aka your study association and your faculty) next friday starting from 16:30! Get answers to any and all of your questions and doubts relating to your studies in philosophy and student life, get to know where to go for help at ESPhil, join a tour of the ESPhil building, enjoy some free snacks and drinks, and come taste the ERA spirit! For the newcomers: Sign up on the spot & claim a gift immediately!

This one’s for the newcomers! Are you a new fulltime philosophy student to EUR, doubling your bachelor degree or doing a premaster? Then come join us next wednesday to have lunch (for free, it’s on us!), meet with other new members and starting philosophy students, and connect with ERA! The picnic will be at Kralingse plas, subject to change due to the weather, and the exact location will be shared on ERA socials closer the event. We start of our lustrum year with a BANG! Whether you are a returning member, new to philosophy or just in general interested to see what ERA is about, celebrate the beginning of the new academic year (or mourn the vacation past) by joining us at our first event next monday! It’s the best oppurtunity fot new members to meet with existing members, and of course to catch up.
