Erasmus University College (EUC) is a selective undergraduate college where intensive multi-discipline education lies at the basis. This Liberal Arts & Sciences college and its campus are located in the city centre of dynamic Rotterdam, in the English- and Dutch-speaking country of the Netherlands, in the heart of western Europe. EUC is proud of an exceptionally personal approach to education, in

which a maximum of 218 students from all over the world work together, and in the first year live together, to complete the three year programme. In addition to Life Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities, EUC also offers majors in Economics & Business.

LUC 🤝 EUC

Great news for Erasmus University College and Leiden University College students! You can now follow a selection of courses at the other University College. That means you're just a short train or metro ride away from an even richer Liberal Arts & Sciences education 🚆

This new initiative builds on the existing Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Universities framework for inter-institute cooperation, and it marks the first stable bilateral exchange between our two University Colleges 🏛️ We're very excited to offer our students the chance to engage with a broader range of disciplines and meet more curious, driven students on a campus just 20 minutes away.

To celebrate this partnership, LUC's Dean Giles Scott-Smith and EUC's Acting Academic Director Kees Vink visited each other's campus - as many of our students will also do very soon! 🧡💙

EUC students visiting Fenix migration museum in Rotterdam 🧡

The minor "A Global View on Migration" combines academic and social approaches. 🤝

On the one hand, students follow lectures from experts from a wide variety of fields, such as sociology, history, international law, economics, cultural studies, and more 🌍 On the social side, students take part in a buddy programme, where they are paired with status holders who are about their age to do activities, volunteer together, and organise a workshop towards the end of the programme.

The trip to Fenix provided yet another, more artistic perspective on the topic of migration. 🔎

📣 EUC alumnus in the news!

€1.33 billion.

That's the social profit Dutch Railways (NS) 🚆 recorded in 2024. A stark difference from their financial performance, where they recorded a loss of €141 million.

This is according to a new study by Professor Dirk Schoenmaker (Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University) and Erasmus University College alumnus Wander Marijnissen of strategic consultancy firm ftrprf.

Starting 2025 with some good news 🥳: EUC has been awarded the 'Top Programme' label in the Keuzegids Universiteiten 2025 and very positive feedback of the accreditation panel!

Each university programme in The Netherlands is periodically reviewed by The Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO). This ensures that university progammes offer quality education. At the end of 2024 Erasmus University College concluded the accreditation process with positive feedback across all aspects of our programme.

The end of 2024 also marked the release of Keuzegids Universiteiten 2025 – the annual, independent guide that assesses and compares the quality of all bachelor's in The Netherlands. We’re happy to announce that Erasmus University College received the 'Top Programme' Award! 🏅

Both the positive accreditation and the 'Top Programme' Award have recognised the high quality of Erasmus University College. We're proud of what we've achieved as the EUC community, and we look forward to further improving our programme.
