The delegation of the Erasmus University Rotterdam (project by Cedo Nulli) participates each year in Each year S.F.V.

Cedo Nulli participates on behalf of the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) in NMUN’s New York conference. Our delegation of fourteen highly motivated students will represent a UN Member State during the conference and interact with students from all over the world. Over the course of six months, students will hone their skills under the guidance of two experienced former delegates and numerous gu

estspeakers. Preparations for the simulation in New York consist of weekly trainings on Tuesday evenings. We will discuss topics like ‘what are the functions and powers of the UN’ and ‘how can we best represent our (yet unknown) Member State’? Acquiring practical skills in lobbying, negotiating, public speaking and resolution writing will form the largest part of the preparation process. These skills are extremely beneficial for any student within the Faculty of Social Sciences. This year the delegation consists of Charlotte Jurus, Matthew Pocock, Carla Deckers, Sam van Leeuwen, Joris van Bakel, Melvin Fung, Anne Heinola, Shugufa Kakar, Rocher Koendjbiharie, Daniela Ramos, Henrik Schulte, Maximilian Beiter, Sophie Bochove, Marije van Kwawegen. These fourteen will be training every Tuesday and will go to New York City and Washington in 2017. They will be guided by:

Dear NMUNers and former delegates, this is the final week you can apply for trainer of the 2026-27 HNMUN Erasmus delegation .eur!

This is an excellent opportunity to guide the next 16 students to reach their potential, and develop your organisational, educational and leadership skills. Additionally, next year will be the first time that we will participate in the Harvard NMUN conference, instead of the conference in NYC! We hope that this will provide a new and exciting challenge for our delegates. For the trainers, this will require some flexibility, as they will have to adapt to the Harvard procedures. However, this will also provide them with the opportunity to make creative chances to the training program!

The application process will consist of:
- A motivation letter (max. two A4 pages), detailing (1) what makes you a suitable and excellent candidate for the role, (2) your vision on the future of the HNMUN project (during your year as trainer and beyond) and (3) your personal goals and aspired achievements for the 2025-26 delegation.
- Your CV in English (max. two A4 pages).

In order to apply for this position, you have to be a former NMUN delegate of one of Cedo Nulli’s delegations.

Thank you Cedo Nulli, EUR and NMUN for the amazing trip! In order to celebrate the ending of our NMUN 2025-2026 program we want to share some of our highlights of this amazing trip (including a visit to the Dutch embassy, the Dutch permanent mission to the UN, and the NMUN conference) 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

🇺🇳Progress Update🇺🇳

Three weeks ago we had our final practice simulation, during which we discussed the rights of disabled children. For this simulation our delegates invited some of their closest friends and family to show their progress to. The week afterwards we practiced negotiation skills through a surprise case.

This week we had our final training of the program. Two old delegates, Juliette and Laura, gave a presentation on the tips and tops for the conference and tourist activities. We closed off our final training with a Kahoot quiz and a potluck. 🥧🥘🍰

Now that our training program has come to an end, we are so proud of how much our delegates have grown, not only on a personal level but also as a group. This would not have been possible without your dedication to NMUN! Thank you all for your enthousiasm, your willingness to learn, and your dedication to NMUN. You truly made this an amazing and unforgettable experience. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

🇺🇳Progress update🇺🇳

This week, Eelco Dubbeling and Remco López Antezana from the Dutch Banking Association (NVB) came to give a guest lecture. They explained how the NVB aims for a more sustainable and inclusive society, which they do through lobbying. Thus, our delegates gained new insights about lobbying and the financial world. 💸🌱

Earlier, we had our sixth practice simulation. The topic at hand was: “Safeguarding Human Rights of Persons Displaced by Climate Change”. The week afterwards, we continued with this topic, as the delegates wrote amendments to the draft resolutions. After we voted on these efforts, we ended our training with some crazy speeches! 🔥

🇺🇬🇺🇳Progress update🇺🇳🇺🇬

After an amazing trip to Brussels, our delegates started training for NYC again. Last week, they had the opportunity to talk to former delegates (aka their “buddies”) and exchange experiences with them. Afterwards, the delegates worked on their position papers for the NYC conference and practiced their proposal speeches.

This week, we were honoured to welcome the Ugandan Ambassador to the Benelux and EU, Mirjam Blaak Sow, to one or our trainings 🇺🇬🇪🇺. She talked about her career and about everything related to Uganda. It was a great learning opportunity for our delegates, as it will help them better represent the interests of our Member State!
