Industrial Design Engineering (IDE)
IDE students develop innovative products and product-service systems for consumer and professional markets. They deal with complex parameters such as user requirements, technical possibilities and market-economy based considerations. The broad programme means that they collaborate and co-create with students and professionals from a variety of disciplines, such as engineers, ergonomists, material scientists, market researchers, psychologists, investors and business administrators. IDE students are trained to be designers who want and are able to make a meaningful and ethically responsible contribution to society.
IDE is an internationally-oriented, 3-year Bachelor of Science programme in English, for pre-university education (VWO) students and international equivalents. IDE exists alongside the Dutch-language Industrial Design Engineering (IPO) programme at The Hague University of Applied Sciences since 2011.
