Step back in time and discover how the law was applied in the past!
On Thursday, October 22, Magister JFT | DiCiT, in collaboration with the course Europese Rechtsgeschiedenis, invites you to a special Pleading Night: ‘Het Recht van Toen’.
During this unique evening, you will step into another era and experience legal questions from a completely different perspective.
Guided by a historical-legal framework, participants will compete in a historical pleading night. How would you argue a case if you were bound by the laws and social norms of the past? Which arguments would you use, and how would you try to convince the judge?
The evening is open to everyone. No prior knowledge of Europese Rechtsgeschiedenis is required to participate or attend. Whether you are a law student, interested in history and law, taking Europese Rechtsgeschiedenis, or simply curious about a unique legal activity: everyone is welcome.
