Hey everyone!
Are you looking for a way to connect with the new first years and earn some money on the side? Next semester is going to be the first time that we'll have a mentoring system to help first years settle into place here at University College Tilburg and we need you to help us out!
What we're looking for is people who would be willing to take on a (paid!) mentor role from the end of August until the end of December.
So what does being a mentor entail?
It means you will spend around two hours a week helping a group of around ten first year students settle in here at UCTilburg. This might mean having drinks together, bringing them to interesting (Extra Muros) events or for example having a picknick together. As a mentor, you are the first point of contact for questions regarding studying, student life, living in the Netherlands and anything else regarding being a student. The mentor program is a unique opportunity to help contribute to an open and warm LAS community.
You will not have to do this all by yourself. Throughout the semester, all mentors will meet once a month and you will get three free training sessions in mentorship to aid you in aiding first years.
If you're interested, please mail Fran, the secretary of Extra Muros at [email protected] with a small motivation letter (no more than half an A4) and your full name and nationality (for administrative purposes). We'll then conduct a small interview to see if you're fit for the job.

Please note that we are looking for both "online" and "offline" mentors as we'll have students who won't be able to come to Tilburg.
