MAK is a student organization which is part of Tilburg School of Economics and Management. For more information visit our website: www.maktilburg.nl

MAK is the Mentorship System of Tilburg School of Economics and Management of Tilburg University. MAK helps new Tilburg School of Economics and Management students to get acclimatized to student life, both study-related and socially. To achieve those objectives MAK offers all kinds of services, ranging from introduction activities to education related activities, informal activities and study support. MAK is organized by around 30 student volunteers and a full-time board.

At MAKtivities, it’s all about social cohesion within MAK and having fun with all the active members🤩

MAKtivities organizes all kinds of internal activities for our members. For example, during our last MAKtivity, we went canoeing in the Biesbosch, followed by a Crazy 88 challenge in Dordrecht🚣 Another example is the MAK/MUK event, where current members get together with former members! Last time, we went on a beer bike🍻🚴‍♂️

To wrap up last semester, we also had a summer barbecue with a pool party😋🏊🏻‍♀️

MAKtivities is a fun and informal committee, where we plan weekly meetings and try to create the best times for our members🧡

We are looking for a treasurer to join and complete our board!

Do you already know what you’ll be doing next year? Or do you only have one course left? Then this might be the perfect time to take on a board year! As treasurer, you will be responsible for MAK’s finances and budgets, maintain relationships with partners and sponsors, coordinate various committees, and play an important role in organising our events. It’s a year in which you’ll take on a lot of responsibility, meet new people, and develop yourself both professionally and personally. 🚀

The Promotion and Design Committee makes sure MAK and its events stay visible and get noticed by students! They keep our social media up to date, create fun content and play a big role in promoting MAK🙌

During committee meetings, there’s lots of room to get creative and come up with new ways to make MAK stand out✨ The biggest project of the year is just around the corner: the introduction week, starting on 17 August!🤩

So keep an eye out for us in the city centre during this week👀 You might just spot some MAK members and maybe even receive some free goodies🎁🧡

May Recap 🙌🏼

Time to look back at everything we did in May 🧡

At the beginning of the month, our committee hosted Bites & Beats! This was a fun event organized to encourage students to enjoy some drinks and snacks on campus, while playing games and enjoying music 🎶

We also went on MAKweekend this month! This was a weekend away with all MAKkers, filled with games, drinks, and lots of laughter🏡

Of course, throughout the month we also enjoyed our bi-weekly drinks at Studio! This is always the perfect time to catch up with each other 🍻

𝓜𝓐𝓚𝓽𝓲𝓿𝓲𝓽𝔂 𝓡𝓮𝓬𝓪𝓹✨

Earlier this month, our MAKtivities committee organized a fun-filled day of activities for all our MAKkers! 🙌🏼

We kicked off the day with a train ride to Dordrecht 🚆, where we headed straight to the beautiful Biesbosch 🌿🌊. Once there, we set off on a canoeing route through the amazing surroundings 🛶. Luckily, no one ended up taking an unexpected swim 😅💦

After returning to the city centre, it was time for some well-deserved dinner and drinks 🍽️🍻. But the day was not over yet! The committee had prepared several assignments and challenges for us to complete. To do so, we were divided into country-themed groups and rushed through the city centre to finish all the challenges.

After lots of laughter, teamwork, and a few more drinks, we headed back to Tilburg! A big thank you to the amazing MAKtivities committee for organizing such a fun day out!

April Recap 🙌🏼

Time to look back at everything we did in April 🧡

At the beginning of the month, our Student in the City Committee organized an activity for future students, where they got to know Tilburg and everything the city has to offer!

Our annual MAK/MUK also took place, where we welcomed former MAK members back to Tilburg. During the day, we played a quiz, rode a beer bike, and of course ended the night with some drinks 🍻

We also had our MAKker training. This time, our MAKkers visited the Tilburg Trappers and got an exciting lesson in ice hockey 🏒⛸️

As if that wasn’t enough, our GROW Committee hosted a casino event for first-year students. During the evening, students had to earn MAK money in order to buy their drinks at the stock exchange 🎰

At the end of the month, our Sports & Wellbeing Committee made sure our MAKkers got some exciting exercise by hosting a soccer training ⚽

Lastly, the First-Year Committee hosted a fun game night, where fellow first-year students visited some of Tilburg’s pubs and played games together!
